We are rapidly scaling the business and seeking a Manager of Retail Sales to join our Retail team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing specialty & regional retail accounts in North America, vetting and identifying new retail opportunities, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally. In this role, you will be directly responsible for developing and executing retail sales strategies that profitably drive revenue and market share growth for Oura Ring products.

What you will do:

Account Management & Program Optimization

  • Develop and execute account-specific strategies to drive sustainable sales growth, market share expansion, and brand awareness that will ensure goals are consistently met/exceeded. 
  • Build and deepen relationships with new and existing retail partners across their organizations, including category leaders, merchants, marketing leads, demand planners, and store operations managers.
  • Deliver regular business performance updates with KPI pacing (eg. sales, returns, inventory positions), along with relevant industry/channel insights.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews and annual program negotiations - aligning Oura and retailers priorities across sales, profitability, marketing, site operations, supply chain and logistics.
  • Drive growth through the intelligent use of retailer programs (e.g., MDF/CO-OP, digital and physical merchandising, customer acquisition). 
  • Implement annual national promotional strategy and ensure flawless execution across pricing, inventory, and marketing.
  • Identify, vet and onboard new retail partners in alignment with Oura’s retail expansion strategy.

This is a remote US role with a slight preference for candidates based in San Francisco or New York City. 

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Membership Experience, and Media teams to ensure retail program alignment.
  • Work in lock step with Oura’s Supply & Demand Team, to ensure forecast accuracy across sell-in and sell-through metrics, and maintenance of inventory health across your account portfolio. 
  • Ensure operational excellence through proactive and timely resolution of operational issues, including chargebacks, shortages, PO flow, content errors, and catalog integrity.

Requirements
We would love to consider you for this role if you have:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in retail account management, preferably in the consumer electronics industry, with national or regional retailers.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales growth and managing a portfolio of accounts varying in size and complexity.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a high level of autonomy.
  • A can-do attitude with a bias for action and problem solving.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Region 1: $119,000 - $140,000
  • Region 2: $106,250 - $125,000
  • Region 3: $99,450 - $117,000
