Key Responsibilities:

  • Scale Outer Bio’s existing CRM into the system the commercial team runs on, including pipelines, workflows, integrations, and dashboards
  • Design and document the sales and revenue operations playbook, including deal stages, definitions, and processes for scoping, proposing, and contracting research studies and partnerships
  • Build and maintain the company’s bookings and revenue forecast, connected to study milestones, laboratory capacity, and tissue supply
  • Develop pricing and quoting tools for research studies and partnerships, and track margin by study and customer
  • Segment target markets across pharma, biotech, and beauty, and build target-account lists to focus business development efforts
  • Produce monthly commercial reporting and board-ready revenue metrics, and explain variance to plan
  • Support live opportunities with account research, proposals, pricing, and contract terms
  • Establish the commercial operating rhythm, and prepare the onboarding, tools, and compensation plans future sales hires will use

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or commercial operations, ideally at a CRO, scientific services, or life science tools company, or selling into beauty and personal care.
  • Proven experience building sales or revenue operations from the ground up, including process, CRM, forecasting, and reporting
  • A hands-on builder with Salesforce Administrator certification and experience configuring objects, fields, flows, validation rules, and permission sets
  • Advanced modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with SQL or a BI tool is a plus
  • Ability to partner with scientists and translate technical work into clear commercial processes
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills
  • Highly productive and resourceful, thrives in dynamic environments, and works effectively both independently and in a group
