The Role

As Senior Product Manager - Technical, you will assist the definition, development, and deployment of The Outrider System, a first-of-its-kind, ground robotics solution for logistics-dependent enterprises that targets the 10B tons of freight flowing through the US supply chain annually. You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to solve exciting hardware and software challenges.

We’re seeking a seasoned Product Manager to drive the product strategy for key elements of the Outrider service, a subscription-based, 24/7 logistics automation offering that addresses the needs for thousands of distribution hubs and hundreds of thousands of industrial vehicles globally.  The objective: delight and retain customers with the industry’s most reliable and effective autonomous operations for logistics hubs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Report to the Sr. Director of Product Management, Kathy Mahoney;
  • Help define the long-term vision for the Outrider System and logistics automation service; refining it with feedback from internal and customer stakeholders; and leading cross-functional projects to build toward it.
  • Plan and execute customer and market research to inform product roadmaps and trade spaces.
  • Establish, communicate, and drive alignment to roadmaps for elements of the Outrider System, with internal and external stakeholders, including developers and customers.
  • Define product requirements for elements of the Outrider System and partner with hardware and software engineering teams to deliver on those requirements.
  • Deliver results on complex projects involving cross-functional teams across the company.
  • Own KPI definition and performance for elements of the Outrider system.
  • Communicate priorities and decisions clearly across a wide spectrum of audiences from internal customers to executives.
  • Assist in recruiting and building a diverse, world-class team of product managers
  • Contribute to a product management culture that is customer-obsessed, innovative, collaborative, curious, and focused on the company mission.
  • Contribute generally to the growth and success of the Company and the building of a vibrant culture focused on the responsible deployment of zero-emission autonomous vehicle technology.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years’ Product Management experience leading innovative product development efforts from concept to scaling
  • 8+ years overall experience delivering technically complex products
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
  • Ability to formulate and articulate compelling product strategies, driving alignment across the organization
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong bias for action and ability to create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Positive energy and high-integrity behavior to build trust quickly, approach problems with a curious and adaptive mindset, and focus on objective measures and data to inform statements and decisions
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Successful delivery of ground-breaking HW+SW+services solutions

Ideal Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering management or business administration
  • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/mechanical/computer engineering, computer science, related technical discipline
  • Experience with either sensors, autonomous vehicles or, robotic manipulators, manipulation

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $140,000 - $160,000
  • Equity: Significant equity package commensurate on experience and skills

  • Home office stipend up to $500 to help you create a comfortable and productive workspace.
  • Actual compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor
