The Role

The Buyer will report to the Sr. Director of Global Partnerships and play a key role in sourcing materials for autonomous vehicle kit production, critical R&D initiatives, and indirect procurement needs. This role requires strong sourcing expertise, proficiency with ERP systems (Netsuite preferred), and the ability to build effective supplier relationships. Success in this role also demands attention to detail and a willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment. The Buyer will collaborate closely with engineering teams and strategic suppliers to ensure best-in-class supply assurance, competitive pricing, flexibility, and on-time delivery to support the growing demands of our business.This role requires in-person presence at our headquarters in Brighton, Colorado.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of direct, indirect, and R&D purchase orders, including expediting and vendor follow-ups for delayed fulfillment, under the direction of the Sr. Director of Global Partnerships.
  • Process material purchase and requisition requests through JIRA, including researching goods, services, and materials, and issuing purchase orders to vendors
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product teams—as well as external suppliers and partners—to ensure timely ordering and delivery of all components and systems.
  • Partner with Indirect departments such as IT, HR, Facilities, and G&A to support sourcing strategies across relevant categories.
  • Provide support for inventory management and accounts payable processes as needed.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and productivity.
  • Contribute to the company’s growth and culture, with a focus on the responsible advancement of zero-emission autonomous vehicle technology.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance or a related field; or equivalent education and work experience
  • Experience using ERP based planning/purchasing software (Netsuite preferred)
  • 2-years of experience in a buyer role with knowledge of Procure to Payment processes (preferred)
  • Familiarity with and practical application of generative AI tools (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory management principles
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Attention to detail and able to multi-task
  • Quick learner and able to work in an unstructured environment

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $88,000 - $120,000
  • Equity: Equity package commensurate on experience and skills
  • Benefits: Dental, vision, & health
  • Actual compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor
  • This role requires in-person presence at our headquarters in Brighton, Colorado
