We’re looking for an experienced I.T. Administrator to take full ownership of I.T. at Outschool as we bring the function in-house. This is a hands-on, in-person role based in our San Francisco office, supporting both our onsite team and our remote employees across the U.S., Canada, and Korea.
You’ll report to the Head of Infrastructure Engineering and collaborate closely with our administrative and infrastructure teams to ensure every employee—regardless of location—is set up for success.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an onsite environment, enjoys supporting a wide range of internal tech needs, and is excited to be the go-to person for all things I.T. at a growing company.
Core Responsibilities:
- Own and operate all aspects of Outschool’s I.T. infrastructure and support systems
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes across all systems and tools
- Manage and monitor our Okta and Jamf environments
- Maintain and coordinate laptop and peripheral logistics—including distribution, returns, trade-ins, and disposal
- Upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain our inventory of Mac laptops
- Provide day-to-day support through internal help desk operations (e.g., password resets, system troubleshooting, Google Workspace support)
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams on device compliance and investigations
- Serve as a consistent, onsite I.T. resource for our San Francisco team while also supporting remote employees globally
Desired Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a dedicated I.T. support or administrator role
- Experience supporting teams at a company of 100–500 employees
- Deep familiarity with Mac systems (this is a Mac-only environment)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Comfortable managing both remote and in-person I.T. needs
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to triage and prioritize efficiently
- Eager to work onsite and serve as a reliable in-person resource for our San Francisco team
This role will be based in the Bay Area. The annual salary range for this Bay Area-based role is $150,000-$170,000.
