Role Overview

The Sr. Accounts Receivable Manager’s primary responsibility is to build, lead, and develop the AR function and coach the AR Specialist within Outset Medical. The AR Manager shall be focused on Continues Process Improvement for the AR function and strive to enhance the process as per business needs and growth.  The Manager is a hands-on leader and shall work cross functionally with IT, Customer Services, Commercial teams towards achieving the Company goals.

 

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Review customer contracts to ensure billings are created in accordance with contract terms
  • Ensure invoices and statements are generated in a timely manner and are transmitted to customers accordingly using EDI or GHX as applicable
  • Development and maintenance monthly cash collections forecast 
  • Assist with making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
  • Ensure cash is applied accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assume ownership of issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss with management
  • Work very closely with IT and other teams to ensure systems and processes are optimized to improve efficiencies
  • Review and approve month/quarter end reconciliations and reporting
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from internal business partners and customers
  • Provide performance metrics to reflect key measurements in the department
  • Be actively involved in cross functional continuous improvement projects by identifying improvement opportunities, working on a project team, or leading projects
  • Assist in preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns, and other statutory requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field
  • 10-12 years commercial credit experience including 3-5 years of leadership experience
  • Proficient in ERP systems, (QAD EE experience is a plus)
  • Med-Tech Industry experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of internal and external management through various methods of communication.  Additionally ability to lead and coach teams within the department and cross functionally
  • Advanced English (Written and verbal)
  • Excellent quantitative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of financial statements and cash flow analysis, industry/market credit research, ASC 326 and ASC 606
  • High Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using credit agency reports such as D&B
  • Proficient understanding of general accounting principles, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance requirements
