AR Collections Specialist (Temporary 6 months)

Position Overview
The AR/Collections Specialist primary responsibility is to help with cash collections from customers. The Collections Specialist shall be focused on Outset Medicals accounts receivables and work with customers to ensure cash collections happen in a timely manner.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Communicate with customers through telephone and email to obtain payment information on outstanding receivables.
- Send statements, invoice copies, supporting documents to customers as required.
- Provide timely assistance and resolution to customers on AR-related concerns.
- Work closely with Customer Service to resolve any issues.
- Prioritize collections on large dollar amounts to drive cash collections.
- Understand and follow policies and procedures.
- Assist with specific projects when required.
- Make sure invoices are uploaded to customer’s portal when needed.
- Assist in the development and maintenance monthly cash collections forecast.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, collections, or related business functions.
- Understanding of general accounting principles and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements, with the ability to apply them in day-to-day tasks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (multitask, sense of urgency)
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset to assist in resolving financial discrepancies.
- Customer-focused approach, with good interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., creating formulas, basic pivot tables, and data analysis).
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with credit agency reports, such as D&B (Dun & Bradstreet).
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude.
- Experience using QAD or similar ERP systems.
