Senior Associate, Advertising

The Opportunity

This is your chance to work alongside some of the best in the digital advertising industry and B2B SaaS space. We’re looking for an individual who enjoys being challenged, is a lifelong learner, and takes pride in delivering results for clients.

Our team is primarily based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but we encourage candidates from across Canada to apply. The successful candidate can expect to earn between $75,000-$100,000 CAD/year—depending upon relevant skills and experience—as part of a complete, competitive package.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate at Outshine, your job is to lead our clients’ digital advertising strategies and programs with a focus on continuous improvement, experimentation, and results.

Your extensive experience managing digital advertising campaigns means you are confident and comfortable working within the self-serve platforms and measurement tools our clients use most, including Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and Google Analytics. Your broad skill set includes:

  • Advertising strategy & execution. You combine technical excellence with a holistic strategic lens, meaning you can speak the language of both CEOs and platform specialists with equal proficiency. You can create and implement well-researched strategies from scratch with minimal oversight based on the KPIs and metrics most important to clients.
  • Exceptional client service. You make the most of each client relationship. You know how to build rapport effectively, you emphasize accountability, and you have strong instincts for when to adjust an approach, bring in counsel or support, and demonstrate value to clients.
  • A passion for data. You ensure strategies and decisions are based on solid data, and create regular marketing performance reports designed to enhance client understanding of results and showcase work that has moved the needle.
  • Balancing efficiency & effectiveness. You possess a natural inclination to streamline processes, maximize resources, and drive outcomes, all while maintaining the quality of work and client experience.

Key Competencies

  • 5+ years experience in digital advertising and measurement platforms including Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook, Instagram), and Google Analytics
  • Experience ramping up quickly, delivering impact early on
  • Experience managing complex projects and fostering relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience leading and motivating teams (both small and large)
  • Experience in B2B or SaaS marketing is an asset
  • Experience in an advertising or marketing agency is an asset
  • Knowledge of modern CRM/marketing automation tools, such as Marketo, Salesforce, etc., is an asset

To be the best fit for this role, you’re:

  • Detail-Oriented: Hyper-focused on the details and their impact on the bigger picture
  • Optimistic & Collaborative: You maintain a positive outlook in challenging times, and leading teams to solve tough problems motivates you
  • Proactive: You prioritize forward momentum on projects and in your own development
  • Analytical: You exhibit a probing mind and draw insights from data
  • Growth-Driven: You believe talent and performance can be developed through effort and persistence
  • Efficient: You produce significant output, avoiding wasted effort where possible
  • Honest & Ethical: You don’t cut corners; you do what is right, not convenient
