The Role
Overjet’s combination of Clinical and Generative AI reduces administrative costs for insurers by automatically reviewing and approving claims that meet their guidelines. We help insurers provide an experience that members and providers love.
Overjet is hiring a VP of Sales, Insurance who will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and managing the insurance sales team to achieve revenue targets for our Insurance segment. We are looking for a hands-on leader to guide and mentor the sales team, refine sales processes, and optimize go-to-market strategies. This role reports to Overjet’s SVP of Revenue.
Responsibilities
- Lead our Insurance sales team to develop strong client relationships with executives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our product and messaging meets market demands and customer needs.
- Monitor sales metrics, provide accurate forecasting, and adapt strategies based on market feedback.
- Develop and execute sales strategies focused on significantly growing new and recurring revenue from prospect US payer clients.
- Recruit, coach and manage a team of sellers through selling cycles to meet annual targets
- Lead and execute successful product launches through value-based selling narratives and acceleration of sales cycles as new offerings are developed.
- Maintain technical fluency in software capabilities to creatively articulate business value and use cases to executive buyers.
- Understand health plan market dynamics and enable the sales team to position our solutions in order to drive sales growth based on these market drivers.
- Guide clients on transformative shifts from legacy IT environments to next-generation offerings.
Qualifications
- 15+ years in sales, with strong experience selling software solutions directly to U.S. insurers. Experience with dental insurers is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in sales leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in adapting sales cycle processes to improve sales execution.
- Strong knowledge of general health plan operations including lines of business, regulatory mandates, and clinical and non-clinical business drivers
- Proven ability to open up new accounts
- Passion for communicating complex software and emerging technologies clearly to executive buyers
- Willingness to travel for sales meetings and industry conferences as needed
