Senior Test Engineer

Through our work with DARPA and the U.S. Army, we are developing the intelligent capabilities necessary to power modern ground operations, now and for decades to come.  

In a little over a year, the company has been selected for or awarded eight-figures of OTAs and other contracts across multiple services and DoD customers. We have raised over $10M in funding, led by Point72 Ventures, a top multi-billion dollar AUM defense tech investor. 

Role Summary: 

We’re looking for a Senior Test Engineer to help us build a rigorous quality assurance program and a safety case for uncrewed off-road vehicles powered by OverDrive. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, implement, refine, and execute unit and full-system tests for software and mechanical systems in both simulation and the real world 
  • Report results of testing, tracking both short and long-term trends in metrics, to a wide variety of stakeholders across the company and customer base
  • Perform functional analysis of complex software systems to identify potential failures and consequences
  • Implement model-based systems engineering processes to capture requirements, architectures, interfaces, and other information to support a safety case
  • Work with technical developers to create leading indicators of system safety to support real-time safety assessments
  • Analyze system deployment CONOPs to identify safety risks and develop mitigation plans for those risks
  • Generate and maintain documentation for emerging projects and system testing

Desired Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Strong technical background: MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 3+ years experience in software or mechanical systems analysis and testing (experience can be substituted for formal education)
  • Experience implementing MIL-STD 882E, ANSI/UL 4600 or other system safety standards for software systems
  • Grit: You excel in a small-team atmosphere, taking ownership of problems and working with your colleagues to solve problems across disciplines 
  • Field-test forward: You are hands-on and enjoy regularly going to the field to execute tests 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance 
  • Ability to relocate to Seattle, WA
