Backed by eight-figure contracts across the Department of Defense, we are strengthening national security by iterating closely with end users engaged in tactical operations.
We are looking for experts in robotics state estimation to join our team to increase the reliability and performance of off-road autonomous vehicles.
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement high-performance algorithms for motion estimation, object tracking, mapping, and localization.
- Define, execute, and analyze full-system field tests to validate the performance and real-world applicability of your solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of the entire autonomous system.
Qualifications
- Strong technical background: MS or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics or a similar field with 2+ years of industry experience in software development.
- Grit: Thrive in a small-team environment, taking ownership of challenges and working collaboratively across disciplines to deliver solutions.
- Programming Skills: Strong knowledge of C++ and proficiency in Python. Previous experience developing software for safety-critical systems is a plus.
- Domain Knowledge: Expertise in sensor fusion and state estimation techniques such as EKFs, Particle Filters, and Factor Graphs. Experience with non-linear optimization libraries such as GTSAM, g2o, or Ceres is preferred.
- Field Test Forward: You enjoy getting your hands dirty and going off the beaten path to see the results of what you are working on.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.
- Ability to relocate to Seattle, WA.
