ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Clinical Director to lead the launch and ongoing operations at our best-in-class PHP/IOP center. The Clinical Director is the onsite leader for Overstory Health’s site, including excellence in operational execution, collaborative & positive team dynamics, and patient satisfaction. The Clinical Director will lead our first center, laying the groundwork for expansion across Massachusetts. The role includes: fostering an inclusive team culture, facilitating teamwork, achieving goals for the site (including program growth), creating and maintaining community relationships, ensuring quality care delivery, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring healthy financial operations. This role involves collaboration with the Medical Director to lead onsite team members such as Therapists, Case Managers, Billing & Coding, Receptionist, and Enrollment team members.

- Are eager to be lead a fast-paced dynamic team in a start-up environment; this includes having excellent interpersonal and listening skills, as well as a desire to be collaborative across disciplines
QUALIFICATIONS
- Lives in Boston, MA or is willing to relocate
- Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Active and current licensure in social work (LICSW, LCSW), counseling (LMHC, LPC), or marriage and family therapy (LMFT) with a minimum of 3 years post-independent license
- 5-7 years of clinical experience in high-level care settings such as IOP/PHP, inpatient, residential, or emergency room environments, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Experience leading in a mental health setting, particularly with adults and / or Medicaid patients, is highly valued.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn department and job-specific software systems
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership & Organizational Development: Build and sustain a robust organization capable of effectively implementing program initiatives.
- Financial Oversight: Manage clinic expenditures, ensuring alignment with the approved budget while optimizing financial performance.
- Regulatory Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure the clinic adheres to all pertinent laws, regulations, and contracts, maintaining the highest standards of care and ethical conduct.
- Policy Administration: Develop, implement, and oversee clinic policies and procedures, collaborating with the Clinical Director and leadership team to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
- Program Assessment: Regularly evaluate the efficacy of the clinic’s treatment programs, working with oversight agencies to guarantee quality care.
- Interagency Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies and organizations to enhance client care.
- Safety & Staff Training: Safeguard the safety of staff and clients by enforcing appropriate protocols and providing ongoing training.
- Billing & Coding: Ensure clinic revenue operations processes are standardized and maintained, support billing third party in ensuring reimbursements are collected.
- Staff Management: Lead the orientation, training, and performance evaluation of staff, fostering a cohesive and skilled team.
- Team Leadership: Conduct regular administrative meetings and guide the team in achieving clinic goals.
- Professional Development: Participate in conferences to stay current on behavioral health trends, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Accreditation & Compliance: Lead the clinic through CARF or Joint Commission external and internal audits, ensuring full compliance with standards.
