In-Person Position

OXOS is searching for an AI Technical Leader to join our high-growth company. You will join a dynamic team of passionate people who work daily to change how radiographic diagnostics are delivered. OXOS’ mission is to increase access and availability using the world’s first portable Dynamic Digital Radiography devices. 

Responsibilities

As the AI Technical Leader, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling an AI-powered platform that automates OXOS Medical’s quality, regulatory, and engineering workflows, slashing compliance overhead while accelerating innovation. This role fuses hands-on architecture and full-stack development with strategic leadership to deliver ISO-compliant, cloud-native tools that make every engineer more productive and every audit effortless. The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing a cloud-native architecture that integrates Google Cloud services, Spring Boot, Neo4j (graph + vector), and GenAI pipelines. 
  • Delivering a secure, production-grade MVP that ingests controlled internal and external data sources and exposes GraphRAG-powered workflows for quality, engineering, and project management personnel. 
  • Codifying ISO 13485/62304 workflows (design change, risk traceability, verification evidence collection, etc.) into event-driven automation that proactively generates compliance artifacts and notifications. 
  • Collaborating with quality, regulatory, engineering, and project management personnel.
  • Translating engineering outputs into LLM prompts, utilizing various sources of compliance information as context. 
  • Automating the top five audit-critical workflows, generating complete, review-ready DHF artifacts.
  • Establishing coding standards, model evaluation gates, security guardrails, and observability dashboards to ensure services and LLM prompts remain deterministic, auditable, and revision-controlled. 
  • Introducing CI/CD pipelines with automated Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) generation, model drift alerts, and reproducible prompt libraries. 
  • Deploying a governance stack that guarantees every build, model, and prompt is traceable from commit to production decision.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; a master’s is preferred.
  • 8+ years designing enterprise-grade Java systems.
  • At least one commercial product built with Spring Boot on a cloud platform.
  • Demonstrable experience integrating AI services and graph databases. 
  • Exposure to medical devices or other regulated industries is highly desirable. 
  • Advanced skills in Neo4J & Cypher, Vector Embeddings & LLM APIs.
  • Advanced skills in DevSecOps / laC (Terraform, Cloud Build).
  • Advanced skills in Agile & Scrum Metrics, and Automated Testing (JUnit, Cypress).
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 / 62304 concepts.
