About the role: 

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic GM of EMEA and APAC to lead our growth strategy and business for our Enterprise and Helium 10 businesses across Europe as well as parts of Asia. This role is a high-profile leadership and operational role responsible for driving sales/sales excellence, customer success/support, establishing and nurturing key partnerships, and overseeing all operational aspects in the region. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the e-commerce space, have a proven track record in international strategy, GTM execution and putting in infrastructure to scale.  Also, the candidate needs to be a strong sales leader (customer facing – events, client meetings, etc.), be able to plan for and introduce regional expansion, and instill operational rigor. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results while growing the business across diverse markets.  

Responsibilities: 

Strategic Leadership: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional strategy for Europe and APAC, aligned with the company's global objectives. This includes a big focus on sales, partnerships, customer service and support. 
  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs as well as surface and create client solutions unique to the region. 
  • Lead all operational aspects across Europe and Asia to ensure efficient processes and regional scalability requiring exceptional people leadership and desire to nurture, grow and expand talent. 

Operational Leadership: 

  • Oversee regional operations to ensure seamless functioning of all business activities, from sales to customer support to compliance. 
  • Continuously assess and improve operational efficiencies, ensuring the region operates within budget and meets performance goals. 
  • Lead the hiring, training/onboarding of talent as well as ongoing coaching and to drive operational and functional excellence. 
  • P&L management and accountability 

Cross-functional Collaboration: 

  • Partner with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment of sales, customer success, and product roadmaps with regional needs.   
  • Communicate key regional insights, challenges, and market trends to global leadership to inform decision-making. 

Sales & Market Expansion: 

  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team, responsible for expanding the company’s footprint across the EMEA region. 
  • Identify growth opportunities in key markets and establish strategies to capture market share. 
  • Provide day-to-day internal support, coaching and direction to the sales team and have the ability to work effectively externally with customer and prospects 
  • Develop strong, lasting customer relationships with high-level decision-makers across the region to drive long-term sales success. 

Customer Success Management: 

  • Ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction by working closely with the Customer Success team to deliver excellent post-sales support. 
  • Oversee customer success initiatives to foster deep client relationships and maximize customer retention and growth. Act as 1st point of contact for the day to support and guide their needs and shape customer interactions 
  • Act as the key escalation point for resolving any client concerns or issues in the region. 
  • Oversee and provide input to the preparation and delivery of customer reviews, on site meetings, QBRs, etc. 

Partnership Development: 

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with industry leaders, technology providers, and other relevant stakeholders across EMEA to support business growth. 
  • Work with partners to co-develop solutions that enhance product offerings and add value to customers. 
  • Oversee Partnerships and partnership teams to ensure we are growing and expanding our partnership according to growth plans. Also track and ensure retention and customer satisfaction of key accounts. 

Performance & Metrics: 

  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the region, ensuring the leadership team is informed about progress toward goals. 
  • Regularly evaluate market trends, competition, and client performance to recommend strategic adjustments. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within Sales, Customer Success, or Business Development, ideally within the ecommerce and/or retail media SaaS sectors.   
  • Leadership: Proven leadership experience managing geographically dispersed teams and regional operations. Must thrive in a matrix organization 
  • Sales Expertise: Strong understanding of international markets with a demonstrated ability to lead large-scale sales initiatives and partnerships. 
  • Customer Focus: Expertise in customer success management and delivering high levels of client satisfaction and retention. 
  • Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and optimize business strategies. 
  • Cultural Fluency: Understanding of cultural and business nuances across EMEA and APAC, with the ability to tailor strategies to regional needs.
