You will bring strong modeling and analytical skills in order to become a strategic partner to the Business and the Senior Director, Head of Strategic Finance. You will be part of a fully integrated team with multiple responsibilities across all businesses. We are looking for someone who enjoys being challenged and will thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. You will work directly with leaders across Pagaya’s growing operating segments. You will be an integral part of Pagaya’s growth strategy and enable business leaders to scale our technology, expand existing markets, and build new strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Own the FP&A Ecosystem: Serve as the primary owner of our FP&A system and the architecture of the financial models within it, ensuring data integrity and scalability as the business evolves.
  • Build Integrated Financial Forecasts: Manage and continuously improve complex revenue/expense, balance sheet, & cash flow models that flow seamlessly into a comprehensive 3-statement financial model.
  • Drive Executive Insight: Create high-impact ad hoc analyses and reporting for executive management; you must possess the executive presence and presentation skills to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Bridge the Business & Finance: Act as a cross-functional partner across the entire organization to deeply understand Pagaya's drivers, distilling real-time operational shifts into precise, dynamic changes to our forecasts.
  • Support Earnings & Board Reporting: Play a key role in the preparation of materials for earnings and Board meetings, ensuring accurate & timely execution.
  • Automate & Scale: Leverage your technical capabilities to automate manual processes, enabling the team to focus on higher impact activities.
  • Lead Strategic Modeling: Lead both top-down and bottom-up forecasting processes, providing strategic insights into growth initiatives, expense management, and headcount investment.
  • Partner with Leadership: Report directly to the Senior Director, Head of Strategic Finance, to help the team scale its processes in alignment with Pagaya’s global growth strategy.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience: 8+ years of relevant Strategic Finance or FP&A experience. Experience in a publicly traded company or a high-growth startup is highly preferred.
  • Mastery of Financial Modeling: Expert-level proficiency in building and maintaining complex, driver-based 3-statement models. You should be comfortable architecting models that scale with business complexity.
  • Systems Architect: Direct experience implementing and/or managing FP&A systems (specifically Pigment). You should understand the syntax and how to structure data and logic to build financial models leveraging integrations with other systems (ERP, CRM, data warehouse, etc.)
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to "tell the story" behind the numbers. You must be comfortable presenting to C-suite executives, distilling complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Business Partnership: A track record of working cross-functionally across Sales, Ops, and Product teams to translate real-world business changes into financial impact.
  • Technical Savvy & Automation: High technical aptitude with a "builder" mindset. You don't just manage processes; you automate them. Advanced Excel is a baseline; experience with SQL, BI tools (Tableau/Looker), or data automation is a significant plus.
  • Public Market Readiness: Familiarity with the rigor of quarterly earnings cycles and the precision required for external financial reporting.
  • Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift, requiring a blend of project management discipline and creative problem-solving.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
