About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Team Lead to oversee and mentor our technical team, ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects and support services. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership skills to drive operational excellence and foster team growth.

Responsibilities

As an IT Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals, coordinating project activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and infrastructure. You will serve as the primary point of contact for technical escalations, mentor team members, ensure strong SLA support and excellent service desk processes while collaborating with other departments to deliver robust IT solutions that align with business objectives.

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of IT professionals to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
• Oversee daily operations of IT support, infrastructure management, and project delivery.
• Plan, assign, and monitor work assignments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues and provide hands-on support when necessary.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and security.
• Support the professional development of team members through training, feedback, and performance reviews.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Prepare and present regular reports on IT operations, project status, and team performance to management.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, security best practices, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, SOX, or ISO 27001) 
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to documentation and process standardization.
• Drive strategic decision-making by analyzing the impact of infrastructure changes on business operations, scalability, and compliance in the long term.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in IT roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Strong technical background in areas such as network administration, systems management, cloud computing, or cybersecurity.
• A structured approach to identify root cause analysis. 
• Proven experience managing IT projects from inception to completion.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Advantage
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, PMP, JAMF, OKTA) are advantageous.
• Experience with ITIL, COBIT or other IT service management frameworks is a plu
