Senior Revenue Accountant
PagerDuty is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our global accounting function. As a Senior Revenue Accountant you will play an integral part in our current US remote team to perform revenue related functions. You will work closely with our partners in the Order to Cash cycle as well as perform functions related to Revenue Recognition, Accounts Receivable and Commissions. This is an exciting opportunity as you will work in a fast paced yet dynamic work environment, where we are continuously striving to improve upon our current practices in order to scale with the company growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounting and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Independently own the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis at month-end close related to Accounts Receivable, Revenue, Deferred Revenue and Commissions, providing meaningful explanation for fluctuation within such accounts (to Budget and to Prior Month).
- Maintain revenue systems and ensure accuracy and completeness of all accounts receivable and revenue transactions and compliance with company policies
- Review revenue contracts for compliance with the Company’s revenue recognition policy, ASC 606 and internal controls, bringing forward any concerns and recommendations
- Assist in completing our annual Standalone Selling Price analysis and the related reporting
- Assist with commission data entry and compensation calculations
- Assist with booking entries related to capitalized commissions and commission expense/amortization
- Assist with various reporting requirements including schedules related to our 10-Q and 10-K filings
- Assist with interim and annual audits to provide requested information to our auditors
- Assist in establishing and monitoring the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures and accounting policies
- Support system implementations and maintenance
- Drive to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process and help streamline procedures and improve system efficiencies
- Assist with related special projects and other duties as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Accounting experience
- 4+ years experience with ASC 606
Preferred Qualifications:
- SaaS company experience
- Experience with Salesforce, Zuora Billing, Zuora RevPro or Netsuite
- Prior experience working at a Big 4 accounting firm
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent
- CPA or equivalent
- Excellent working knowledge and capabilities in Excel
- Previous experience bringing forward process improvements or automation, and assisting with successful implementation
