PagerDuty is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Salesforce QA Analyst to help ensure the quality and reliability of our enterprise application ecosystem. As a Salesforce QA Analyst, you will play a crucial role in testing and validating our Salesforce implementations, integrations, and customizations to maintain the highest standards of quality for our business-critical systems.
About This Role
Together with the enterprise applications team, you will have the opportunity to define and implement QA processes and testing strategies for PagerDuty's growing suite of applications, focusing on our core business systems including Salesforce, Zuora, CPQ, Marketo, and DocuSign.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Salesforce features, customizations, and integrations, ensuring thorough coverage of business requirements and technical specifications.
- Execute manual and automated testing of Salesforce configurations, including Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce pages, and Flows, while documenting and tracking defects through resolution.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Developers, Administrators, and business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure proper test coverage for new features and system enhancements.
- Validate complex integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems, ensuring data accuracy, system performance, and proper error handling across the entire Lead to Order process.
Requirements
- 3+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years specifically testing Salesforce implementations and customizations
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including standard and custom objects, automation tools, and integration patterns
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases, test plans, and detailed bug reports
- Familiarity with Salesforce development lifecycle and deployment processes
- Experience testing complex system integrations and API-based interactions
- Knowledge of Agile testing methodologies, Jira, and modern DevOps practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Salesforce Administrator Certification is a plus
- Experience testing Salesforce CPQ and Zuora implementations preferred
- Understanding of SQL/SOQL for data validation and testing
- Knowledge of security testing principles and best practices
- Familiarity with Salesforce governor limits and optimization techniques
- Experience with test data management and sandbox environments
- Experience working with test automation tools and frameworks designed for Salesforce testing, with a preference for expertise in Selenium WebDriver and Java is a plus
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git, along with experience in CircleCi, is a definite asset
