PagerDuty is seeking a Sr. Full-Stack Software Engineer 4 to join our Incident Analysis team. As a full-stack engineer, you will work with your team to help enhance the post-incident review experience for PagerDuty customers. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a high-performing team focused on having a major impact on incident lifecycle management at PagerDuty. The ideal candidate for this role will have strong full-stack experience with a solid understanding of React and a passion for growing their career.
Key Responsibilities
- You will utilize best practices in software engineering to architect, code, test, and deploy high-quality solutions that meet customer requirements and adhere to internal standards.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver features on time and within scope.
- With 20,000+ global customers and growing, you’ll be solving really interesting technical challenges while helping to scale our product to keep up with demand.
- Participate in your team’s on-call rotation, triaging and addressing production issues as they arise.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring the stability and performance of integrated solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives to foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Use your analytical skills to clarify questions, share your approach, and collaborate with your team to build and test elegant solutions.
Basic Qualifications
- You have 8+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer working on customer-facing applications.
- You are proficient with at least one of the following programming languages and frameworks: JavaScript / NodeJS, TypeScript / React, Python, Ruby on Rails, Elixir, or Java.
- Must have 3+ years of experience working with React.
- You have experience designing, building, and operating large, enterprise-level systems against scalability, availability, and performance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- You have experience deploying and operating services in AWS and Kubernetes.
- You are familiar with agile (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) delivery methodologies.
- You have experience working at a SaaS company with more than 1000 employees and $100M in revenue.
- You have built or consumed GraphQL APIs using Apollo (server/client).
- You have been on-call for services in the past, and are familiar with incident response and/or post-incident review best practices.

The base salary range for this position is 150,000 - 252,000 USD. This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits.
Our base salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range, which is subject to change based on primary work location, reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we expect to pay newly hired employees for the position. Within the range, we determine pay for an individual based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills/competencies and experience.
