Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless PHY Layer Algorithm Design Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on designing, simulating, and optimizing PHY layer algorithms for wireless communication systems using C++ and other modern programming tools. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in digital signal processing, wireless protocols, and performance analysis, contributing to cutting-edge innovations in wireless communication technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and simulate PHY layer algorithms for wireless communication systems.
- Design and implement signal processing algorithms for wireless protocols, including 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.
- Program in C/C++ for simulation and verification of PHY layer functionalities.
- Interface digital processing with RF components, addressing RF impairments and compensation techniques.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PHY layer designs into SoCs.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on wireless communication and systems.
- 3 years of relevant experience in wireless PHY layer development.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming for simulation purposes.
- Strong understanding of wireless standards and protocols, particularly 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in designing and implementing signal processing algorithms for wireless communication systems.
- Knowledge of age loops and other advanced digital processing concepts.
- Proven ability to interface digital processing with RF components effectively.
