Overview
Join our cutting-edge team as a visionary engineer who will drive the evolution of sensor systems for AR/VR applications. You will play a pivotal role in designing innovative frameworks and software components to enhance sensor fusion and machine learning algorithms. Collaborate with industry-leading experts to architect and prototype next-generation sensor technologies, exploring alternative sensing modalities and state-of-the-art algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop frameworks and core software components to implement, optimize, visualize, and debug sensor fusion and machine learning algorithms.
- Architect, design, and prototype critical sensor technologies that combine multiple sensing modalities, balancing system-level constraints on compute, performance, and power.
- Collaborate with other engineers and researchers to develop new concepts and technologies for sensor systems in AR/VR, including novel sensing algorithms.
- Prototype and evaluate new sensing modalities that advance state-of-the-art AR/VR systems.
- Optimize software systems and machine learning models for deployment on edge devices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in coding with C++ and Python for designing and developing sensor systems.
- Demonstrated experience with modern machine learning frameworks, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Proficiency in modern machine learning algorithms, including CNNs, RNNs, transformers, clustering, and dimensionality reduction.
- Experience with digital signal processing techniques including digital filtering, Fourier transform, correlation, and modulation.
- Proven experience in designing software systems and machine learning models for edge devices.
Preferred Qualifications
- MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with SLAM, VIO, and 3D image reconstruction techniques.
- Experience with radar/sonar imaging and familiarity with inertial sensors, pressure sensors, magnetometers, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of emerging AR and VR technologies.
- Demonstrated ability in cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
- High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving skills.
