ABOUT THE ROLE
Pallet is an early-stage, fast-paced unicorn startup with a mission to transform the way teams hire and scale talent. We’re building a world-class recruiting function to power our rapid growth, and this role is critical to ensuring we consistently find and engage top-tier engineering talent.
As our first Technical Associate Recruiter, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping and scaling the sourcing and recruiting foundations for our engineering, product, and design (EPD) teams. You’ll also be able to contribute to talent branding and other strategic recruiting initiatives.
SOME THINGS YOU MAY BE WORKING ON
- Source and engage high-quality engineering candidates through platforms like LinkedIn, GitHub, and sourcing tools such as Gem or Covey.
- Schedule 7-10 engineering intro calls weekly and maintain an up-to-date pipeline in Greenhouse.
- Conduct initial intro calls, write detailed notes, and coordinate interview scheduling, feedback collection, and debrief sessions.
- Develop and refine sourcing strategies using metrics like open rates and response rates, continuously testing new tools and channels.
- Sell Pallet’s mission and opportunities to candidates, answering questions confidently while showcasing enthusiasm for the company.
- Identify and resolve inefficiencies in the hiring pipeline, proposing scalable workflow improvements.
- Drive talent branding initiatives, including events and content creation to attract top-tier engineering talent.
- Support additional hiring needs outside EPD as required, such as sales or post-sales roles.
YOU HAVE
- 2-3 years of professional recruiting experience, with at least 1 year in a sourcing capacity.
- Proficiency with sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Gem or Covey) and ATS platforms like Greenhouse.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Data-driven approach to sourcing and pipeline management, with experience analyzing campaign metrics to inform strategies.
- Basic selling skills and the ability to pitch a company’s vision to candidates effectively.
- Flexibility to manage shifting priorities and context-switching in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for operational efficiency and finding solutions to workflow challenges.
- Hunger to succeed with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
FIRST 30 DAYS
- Schedule 5-10 quality engineering candidates for interviews weekly.
- Own the EPD sourcing pipeline, ensuring candidates are moved efficiently through the process.
- Shadow hiring managers and learn Pallet’s pitch to deliver it effectively in intro calls.
IN 60 DAYS
- Develop a repeatable engineering sourcing process and identify new channels to expand the pipeline.
- Contribute to the team by helping hire 1-2 key engineering roles.
- Take ownership of technical talent branding projects.
IN 90 DAYS
- Consistently make 1-2 engineering hires per month.
- Independently manage all engineering intro calls and refine sourcing strategies using data.
- Build a robust referral and spearfishing workflow for engineering talent.
SELLING POINTS
- Be part of an elite team at a unicorn startup in San Francisco, taking on a pivotal early-stage role as the first US recruiter.
- Receive hands-on training to grow into a technical recruiter, a career path that typically earns 10-30% more than non-technical recruiting roles.
- Take full ownership of hiring for the Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organization—one of Pallet’s most critical teams during this growth stage.

POSITION'S COMPENSATION RANGE
- $80,000-$95,000 per year plus equity
The final salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, qualifications, location, and market conditions. We are committed to ensuring fair and equitable compensation practices.
