Job Description

Are you passionate about clean energy and ready to lead a transformative product that will redefine how homes use energy? As the Principal Product Manager for our Clean Energy Marketplace Platform, you’ll be at the helm of a key strategic initiative at Palmetto, guiding the product vision, strategy, and execution for a marketplace platform that enables whole-home electrification. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you will drive the development of a platform that will make clean energy adoption easier, faster, and more accessible to millions of homeowners.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for the platform, aligning it with Palmetto's overall business objectives.
  • Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end development process of the platform, from concept through to iteration. Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product milestones.
  • Market Analysis and Research: Understand the competitive landscape, needs, trends, and gaps. Use insights to inform product strategy and prioritization.
  • Leadership and Management: Lead a cross-functional team of business stakeholders, engineers, and designers to co-create and deliver on the platform strategy by fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, customers, and other departments, to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment.
  • Monetization Strategy: Develop and implement monetization strategies in collaboration with go to market partners, including platform fees, transaction fees, premium services, and revenue-sharing agreements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success and impact of the Exchange platform. Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products and services meet regulatory requirements and quality standards. Implement best practices for compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in the marketplaces, data platforms, energy sector, or home electrification is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong product development fundamentals and desire to ship features is a must. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with product development tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Personal Attributes: Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset. Results-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
