Summary of Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior NetSuite Product Manager to lead the enhancement, optimization, and strategic direction of our NetSuite ERP platform. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that NetSuite aligns with business needs and delivers maximum value.

This position will be based in Charlotte, NC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Product Vision and Direction:

    • Define and execute the NetSuite product roadmap based on business objectives and user needs.
    • Prioritize and manage NetSuite enhancements, integrations, and configurations.
    • Ensure NetSuite and its supporting product ecosystem aligns with overall company strategy and growth plans.
    • Champion technical initiatives for Palmetto’s ERP, ensuring we’re leveraging the latest offerings and best practices in a cost-efficient manner. 
    • Influence the product and business direction, engaging with external and internal stakeholders to gather insights and advocate for the right ERP evolution.
  • Stakeholder & Business Collaboration:

    • Work with Stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned with broader organizational strategic goals
    • Gather and document business requirements from finance, operations, sales, and other departments.
    • Translate business needs into functional specifications for the technical team.
    • Work closely with stakeholders to drive NetSuite adoption and best practices.
    • Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels 
    • Drive prioritization of initiatives effectively share vision, strategy prioritization, and status updates with stakeholders and leadership teams
    • Ability to adjust quickly with changing stakeholder and/or business needs
    • Viewed as a trusted product expert who understands the business needs 
    • Build consensus amongst competing stakeholders and competing priorities in order to achieve product goals
  • System Optimization & Enhancements:

    • Define roadmap for product line (NetSuite)
    • Oversee all resources implementing changes (internal and external), including oversight over the design of initiatives focused on scalable and technical robust solutions to meet business needs
    • Knowledge transition of all implemented solutions by third parties
    • Translate business objectives into actionable user stories and projects
    • Ensure initiatives have defined requirements/user stories and timelines; remove impediments, and own quick, efficient, and robust delivery
    • Maintain a healthy prioritized backlog for product line
    • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and system scalability.
    • Lead NetSuite customizations, integrations with third-party applications, and new module implementations.
    • Ensure NetSuite configurations comply with best practices and security standards.
    • Project Management & Implementation:

    • Oversee NetSuite-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
    • Coordinate with developers, administrators, and external vendors on system changes.
    • Conduct UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure proper training for end-users.

 

  • Support & Maintenance:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for NetSuite-related inquiries and troubleshooting.
    • Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and user guides.
    • Monitor system performance and ensure data integrity across modules.
    • Technical expertise over NetSuite
    • Full mastery and knowledge of end-to-end business systems processes for NetSuite
    • Able to fully document, test and demonstrate end-to-end functionality of their product(s) and at least a tactical understanding of integrated systems
    • Adhere to SDLC best practices with well defined release management processes
    • Regular vendor engagement, ensuring our purchased products, licenses, features are aligned with Palmetto’s needs and goals
    • Champion agile and lean practices, facilitating adaptation and responsiveness to change
    • Administration of NetSuite for Requests that Come in (New Access, Reports, etc.) 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a NetSuite Product Owner, Manager, NetSuite Administrator, or ERP Lead. (5+ years) 
  • Strong knowledge of NetSuite modules (Finance, CRM, Inventory, Procurement, etc.). 
  • Experience managing and leading mid to large sized NetSuite implementations involving data migration (from legacy ERPs such as Quickbooks),  customizations, and integrations.
  • Experience maintaining NetSuite in a public company adhering to SOX and regulatory compliance
  • Familiarity with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and SuiteTalk - a foundational understanding of scripting options and best practices within NetSuite
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills, with Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • 5 years experience and knowledge of key NetSuite integrations (Eide Bailly, NetAsset, Payment Processors, etc.)
  • At least 3 years of experience in iPaas Solutions (Celigo, Tray.AI) required
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Background in finance or accounting and or knowledge of backend accounting processes
  • Operates with minimal supervision, takes initiative to lead cross-functional efforts
  • Strong decision-maker who can bring clarity in ambiguous environments 
  • Solar or financial services experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least one NetSuite certification (e.g., SuiteFoundation, NetSuite Administrator, NetSuite ERP Consultant).
