Reporting

This position will report to the Senior Director, Supply Chain.

Summary of Role

Palmetto's Safe Harbor program puts more than a billion dollars of customer-owned equipment into the field. Six OEMs build it, multiple distribution partners hold it on consignment, and more than 500 EPC partners install it across 32 states and Puerto Rico.

You will own the success of that program. That means the right equipment in the right branch at the right time, installs that keep pace with plan, and OEM and distributor relationships that hold up under pressure. You'll set the strategy, run the commercial relationships, and bring the program's trade-offs to executive leadership with a clear recommendation.

This is a leadership role. You'll lead the team, the process, and the tools, and you'll represent the program in front of OEM executives, distributor leadership, and Palmetto's executive team.

Strategic & Tactical

  • Own the Safe Harbor program end to end, from OEM order to distributor branch to EPC install. Set priorities, targets and KPIs, spot risks to volume, timing and cash early, and run the issues and decisions log.
  • Lead OEM relationships as the senior Palmetto contact for six programs. Negotiate volume commitments, lead times, payment terms and credit limits, manage escalations, develop supplier risk options, and build plans for new OEM programs through 2027-2030.
  • Lead distribution strategy. Own distributor relationships and performance, set how OEM volume is allocated across distributors and branches, expand and onboard the network, and manage the fee structure and rate card with Finance.
  • Drive EPC participation. Set expectations for forecasts, job data and equipment handling. Work with regional leadership to raise compliance and recommend enforcement, including pausing program access.
  • Lead planning and executive S&OP. Own the supply plan and its assumptions (yield, safety stock, days of supply, lead times). Run monthly demand and supply reviews, and bring constraints to leadership with options, financial impact and a recommendation.
  • Partner with Finance. Provide the supply plan, PO schedule and install data for cash and working capital planning, model scenarios with the CFO’s team, and make the case for working capital when volume needs it.
  • Own tools and processes. Lead the supply planning tool’s requirements, platform decision and adoption, and work with Product and Engineering on the portal fields the program depends on.

How we’ll measure success

  • Installs versus plan by OEM program and region
  • Days of supply by SKU and branch against target
  • Demand forecast accuracy versus actual installs
  • EPC forecast submission rate, weighted by volume
  • No supply-driven install delays
  • OEM commitments, payments and credit limits managed with no surprises
  • Distributor fee variance between accrued and invoiced
  • Planning tool live and used for the monthly cycle
  • Open commercial items with OEMs and distributors closed on schedule

Qualifications

  • 7  years+ in supply chain, operations, or program management, with at least 3 years leading teams
  • A track record running S&OP at scale and presenting to executives
  • Experience negotiating commercial terms with suppliers or OEMs, including volume commitments and payment terms
  • Strong grasp of working capital, credit exposure, and how supply decisions affect cash
  • Experience leading through influence across sales, finance, legal, and operations
  • Strong Excel and data skills, and experience in an ERP such as NetSuite
  • Clear, direct communication with executives and with partners outside the company

Preferred

  • Experience in solar, energy storage, electrical distribution, HVAC, or similar equipment channels
  • Experience with consignment or customer-owned inventory models
  • Experience selecting and rolling out planning platforms such as Pigment, Kinaxis, or o9
  • Experience managing a large, fragmented partner base
  • Experience with supply chain financing programs
