About Gen-e2

AI-First Product Engineering — Reinvented

Gen-e2 is our revolutionary approach to product delivery. While most teams use AI to support traditional workflows, we’ve redefined the entire SDLC around AI. Gen-e2 integrates AI-native processes, tooling, and architecture to boost quality, speed, and sustainability.

  • 95% of the product (code, documentation, infra, tests, even UI) is AI-generated

  • All work is contextualized in a single product repository for consistent generation quality

  • Rules, templates, and prompt libraries ensure scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade output

  • Gen-e2 delivers end-to-end products 2–3× faster than traditional models

Your Role

As a Geospatial Scientist & Multi-Hazard Risk Modeler, you will lead the development of a scalable, AI-driven hazard intelligence engine. Your mission is to transform complex atmospheric, geophysical, and geospatial data into a unified and actionable understanding of risk across multiple time horizons.

  • Develop and implement advanced probabilistic models to quantify the likelihood and severity of natural hazards (e.g., Wind, Hail, Hurricane, Wildfire, Earthquake) across diverse geographies.

  • Build predictive risk frameworks that translate historical data and real-time environmental conditions into actionable insights over 1, 3, 5, and 10-year horizons.

  • Design and maintain a unified geospatial data architecture, integrating high-value datasets from sources such as NOAA, NWS, USGS, and private providers.

  • Manage end-to-end geospatial data workflows: ingestion, validation, transformation, QA/QC, versioning, and documentation.

  • Optimize GIS platforms and spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS) to ensure high-performance rendering of complex, multi-layered hazard maps.

  • Enhance spatial query performance, indexing strategies, tiling, caching, and overall application scalability.

  • Leverage satellite and aerial imagery (remote sensing) to validate models and refine hazard impact assessments.

  • Develop automated data pipelines and modeling workflows using Python and modern geospatial libraries (e.g., GeoPandas, Xarray).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, data science) to translate complex scientific outputs into intuitive geospatial products.

  • Ensure data governance, reliability, and scalability of geospatial services and infrastructure.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement through reusable components, modeling standards, and knowledge sharing.

Who You Are

  • Strong professional background in Atmospheric Science, Geospatial Science, Physics, or related fields.

  • Proven experience in probabilistic risk modeling, especially for rare and high-impact environmental events.

  • Expert-level knowledge of geospatial engineering, including PostGIS, spatial databases, and performance optimization of GIS applications.

  • Deep understanding of meteorological and geophysical datasets (NOAA, NWS, radar data, seismic data, etc.).

  • Advanced programming skills in Python, including experience with geospatial and scientific libraries (GeoPandas, Xarray, NumPy, Pandas).

  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and automated workflows.

  • Familiarity with remote sensing techniques and the use of satellite/aerial imagery for environmental analysis.

  • Strong understanding of geospatial fundamentals: projections, coordinate systems, raster/vector data, and spatial analysis.

  • Ability to translate complex scientific and technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience working in English within international and cross-functional teams.
