About The Role:

As Principal AI Engineer you will be at the forefront of Panasonic Well’s AI strategy and initiatives. You will be responsible for the design and development of platforms and solutions that drive positive outcomes for our customers, helping them live more fulfilling lives through our responsible and scalable generative AI products without sacrificing privacy and security focus.

Panasonic Well is able to employ individuals who reside in (or that are willing to relocate to) the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, and Washington.

What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Work closely with internal and external teams to develop future forward AI products and solutions focused around generative AI, computer vision and related fields.
  • Be an advocate with vision in AI, working closely with other teams to build roadmaps and timelines for usage across our products.
  • Explore and advocate for new applications of AI technologies to drive our business forward.
  • Design, build, and deploy systems generative systems that help families live happier and healthier lives through our products and services
  • Design, develop, and maintain AI models and algorithms for various applications, including but not limited to machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
  • Design and develop libraries and tools for teams to easily consume and deploy AI tools and enhancements.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 7+ years experience in an engineering lead capacity.
  • 9+ years of technology industry experience
  • Proven experience with AI/ML systems in some of the following areas: Generative AI (text and multimodal), Natural language Processing, Computer Vision, Speech Synthesis hybrid AI systems.
  • Ability to drive consensus on approaches and solutions for creating consistently high-quality software
  • Knowledge of major advancements in AI, including LMMs, Agent Systems, Responsible AI and related fields.
  • Understanding the ethical ramifications of using AI in our work and being able to speak to how to ensure ethics are embedded in what we do.
  • Ability to evaluate external software for decision-making on buying or building.
  • Ability to build and design production level systems and models.
  • Ability to take ambiguous requirements and translate them into experiments and executional requirements
  • Experience in health care or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience with agile and iterative development approaches

This position may be eligible for participation in our employee bonus program. Grade level and salary ranges are determined primarily through the scope and complexity of the role along with a review of the applicant’s experience and skills, as well as alignment with geographic market data and equity with other team members.
