Purpose of Position:
The Transformation Office is establishing an Innovation Lab that will partner across the organization to identify “quick win” solutions that will automate or enhanced existing processes. There is an exciting opportunity to drive and lead this Innovation Lab.
The Innovation Lab solutions will champion the use of existing technologies (where possible) to deliver improved operational efficiency, increase productivity, reduce manual activities and streamline processes in a nimble and dynamic way.
Key Responsibilities:
The Innovation Lab Lead is expected to assume the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:
- Proactive engagement across the organization to bring new ideas, challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for solutioning
- Champion the use of existing technologies (where possible) and drive further adoption
- Lead “SWOT” team (comprised of the Head of Transformation, Chief Data & Innovation Officer, Head of Technology and Digital Strategist) to prioritize initiatives and define the roadmap.
- Lead, design & project manage implementation of solutions
- Track & report metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of implemented solutions
- Foster a culture of innovation through encouraging creativity, experimentation, and continuous learning
- Partner with key teams leads (e.g. Transformation Office, Operations, Technology, CorePM, Front Office) to understand strategic priorities and drive solutioning
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Experience (min. 5 yrs.) in a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of and experience in implementing and optimizing “off the shelf” automation and workflow solutions
- Keen ability to identify opportunities and use cases for process improvements and streamlining
- Culture carrier for creative solutioning, thinking outside the box and driving continuous change
- Track record in effectively engaging, influencing and partnering across the organization
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbally) including presenting clear and impactful reporting of progress and measurements of success
- A team player who is comfortable interacting with staff at all levels, including senior management
- Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environment and can nimbly adapt to new and changing priorities
