Purpose of Position:
The position will play a key role in supporting the Revenue function with the Finance department. The position would suit a qualified accountant with 3+ years of post-qualified experience, ideally in the private equity, asset management or similar financial services sector. The role will encompass a wide spectrum of responsibilities across the Revenue function which will provide invaluable knowledge on different streams of revenue earned by a PE House including their computation and accounting treatment. The role will primarily centre on management fee computation and billing, Carry computation and billing, monitor fund set-up costs and review fund expense recharges, as well as a focus on financial review and reporting based on US GAAP. The role also includes assisting other team members with monthly and quarterly reporting to AMG.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review of LPA and compartment agreements of potential clients to ensure management fee sections are drafted correctly and the calculations are feasible
- Review fee term sheets for new clients and liaise with Legal and Client services teams for their sign off.
- Key support person for new client fee proposals, providing the investor relations team with data as required.
- Support the fee billing cycle on a periodic basis
- Preparing/reviewing periodic journals in SAGE for bank, revenue, expense and balance sheet transactions.
- Preparing/reviewing the quarterly fees and rebate packs.
- Conduct periodic reconciliation of accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Assist with completion of monthly bank reconciliation
- Assisting with the annual audits regarding revenues for the Group/ Corporate and SOX audits
- Ensure robust and accurate fee modelling for revenue accruals and MI
- Provide support for wider business for fee related queries and support the finance team with any other projects as required
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and Pantheon policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct
Knowledge & Experience Required:
- A qualified accountant holding a recognised Charter or Certified accountancy qualification with 3+ years of post-qualified experience
- Experience in private equity, asset management or similar financial services business.
- Sound technical accounting knowledge particularly US GAAP reporting
- Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office including advanced Excel are essential
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Analytical mindset with excellent attention to details.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Formal education and professional/ or technical qualifications required
- Educated to degree level is essential.
- CA/ ACA/ACCA or equivalent is essential.
Expected base salary range: $120,000 - $130,000
Actual base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual experience, skills and qualifications.
