Purpose of the Position

Reporting to the Principal in the International Private Wealth team, which is part of the broader Investor Relations department, this is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the product development of new product initiatives and supporting business development activity across our international teams (ex. US).

The role is to lead the research, analysis, and development of new and existing products for Pantheon’s private equity, private debt, infrastructure, and real assets strategies. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a key role to play in servicing existing clients and developing new business from existing and new relationships.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Client and prospect contact via face to face, mail, and phone (e.g., meetings, events, forums)
  • Co-ordination, production and review of presentation materials, performance data, due diligence materials
  • Support, co-ordinate and assist Relationship Managers with the day-to-day management of existing investor relationships as well as the investor activities within a specified region(s).
  • Independently coordinate and support end to end RFP processes by collecting and preparing data and guide the RFP team as required
  • Project manage product development initiatives, including both semi liquid evergreen vehicles, and closed-ended vehicles;
  • Prepare, present and facilitate review and approval of business plans and other commercial/fund documentation to relevant Pantheon committees;
  • Perform market analysis, competitor and product research relating to both existing and new products
  • Establish and maintain relationships with teams across Pantheon as well as external service providers to produce and collate relevant and value add data and ensure both data and client/prospect activities are compliant
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and Pantheon policy (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct

The role will be both internally and, after an extensive training period, also externally facing. While the externally facing part of the role will involve attending meetings, a material amount of this work will be internally facing (co-ordination with the Relationship Managers as well as marketing, operations, investment and legal teams) and much of the investor contact will be conducted by phone and email.

The successful candidate will be results driven and is able to demonstrate a passion for product development and investor relations combining analytical as well as interpersonal skills with the aim to deliver an outstanding experience for the investor.

Specific Technical Knowledge Required

  • Strong knowledge of the asset management and private market industry, with a focus on private equity and private debt/credit and infrastructure – ideally with a secondary angle
  • Experience with management of funds domiciled in Luxembourg and/or Ireland
  • Good understanding of the fund structuring and product development process
  • Knowledge and understanding of the private wealth market would be useful
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge & Experience 

  • Some demonstrable professional experience in IR client servicing role or similar function/experience
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to plan/manage time and budgets
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines/under pressure with supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – we are looking for a “service minded person” able to build long term stable relationships
  • Relationship building skills
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion and judgement
  • Strong analytical skills and a high level of initiative
  • Educated to degree level is essential
  • Professional Qualifications (beneficial, e.g. IMC)
  • Language skills such as Spanish or Mandarin will be helpful
