Purpose of the Position:
The Portfolio Data Associate will be responsible for technical delivery of the workload of the Portfolio Data Teams ensuring appropriate setting of workload and control environment to facilitate the accurate delivery of Team tasks. They will be responsible for bringing subject matter expertise to all areas of the Portfolio Data team’s work.
The Team is primarily responsible for: the collation, provision and analysis of underlying portfolio/company data to the business, covering private equity, infrastructure and private debt. This data covers over 20,000 underlying companies and spans areas including static classification data, investment performance data, and company level financial data such as Revenue, EBITDA and net debt levels, and used for a wide variety of purposes including prospective investment analysis and existing investment monitoring and management.

We’re looking for a technically skilled Portfolio Data Associate to join our Portfolio Data Team and help us deliver accurate, insightful, and timely data across our global platform.
Your Role:
- Deliver and validate portfolio data across private equity, infrastructure, and private debt investments.
- Manipulate and analyze large datasets using advanced Excel techniques.
- Support investment analysis by preparing and reviewing data for primary investment opportunities.
- Collaborate with investment and reporting teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Drive automation and process improvements to enhance data workflows and reporting efficiency.
- Maintain robust controls to mitigate operational risks and ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate quarterly data reviews, ensuring smooth execution and high standards of accuracy.
- Respond to technical data queries, providing expert-level insights and solutions.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong technical expertise in private markets data, including valuation techniques and financial metrics (e.g., Revenue, EBITDA, Net Debt).
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience handling large and complex datasets.
- A detail-oriented, analytical mindset with a passion for data accuracy and process improvement.
- Experience working with financial data in a professional environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex data clearly.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with strong organizational skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience implementing process changes or automation tools.
- Exposure to data management systems or financial reporting platforms.
- Relevant financial qualifications (e.g., CFA, IMC, Accountancy).
