Purpose of Position:
The position will play a key role supporting the general finance department activities and month end reporting process. The position would suit a part qualified or qualified accountant looking to work in private equity in a finance context.. The role will provide a wide spectrum of responsibilities across the main areas of finance which will develop a generalist skill set. Initially the role will focus on general bookkeeping and reconciliation work. The role also includes assisting other team members with monthly and quarterly reporting to AMG.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Pantheon’s Investment Accounts covering $300m worth of assets
- Assist with daily treasury process including cash transfers and bank management
- Assist with Carry distribution calculations and notices
- Assist with Quarterly Partner statements for Pantheon’s co investment vehicle
- Prepare monthly expense accruals
- Processing daily/weekly journals in SAGE for bank, investments, expense and balance sheet transactions
- Conduct periodic reconciliation of accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Assist with completion of monthly bank reconciliation
- Prepare monthly management accounts for GP companies
- Assist with preparation annual statutory accounts and reports for GP companies
- Provide documentation as required to auditors for the Group/ Corporate and SOX audits
- Support the finance team with any other projects as required
Knowledge & Experience Required:
- A junior accountant
- Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office including advanced Excel.
- Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Good concentration
- Excellent attention to details.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately
- Ability to work on their own initiative
- Excellent team player
Expected base salary range: $110,000 - $125,000
Actual base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual experience, skills and qualifications.
