Purpose of Position

The individual will play a key role in servicing Tier 1 and Tier 2 institutional clients, including close collaboration with Pantheon’s regional joint venture (JV) partner, while supporting Relationship Managers (“RMs”) in prospecting activities across the DACH region. The role is responsible for delivering a high-quality investor experience through effective client servicing, proactive communication, and strong execution across both existing client relationships and prospective investor activity.

The individual will support the development and execution of client engagement plans for allocated relationships and should be able to proactively manage day-to-day servicing activities, working both independently and in close collaboration with senior team members and RMs. The role requires a strong understanding of Pantheon’s private markets platform, products, and investment strategies, alongside the ability to contribute ideas and support initiatives that strengthen Pantheon’s presence across the DACH client base.

The position also plays an important role in enhancing internal and external processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of client servicing activities. In addition to close collaboration with the immediate team, the individual will work extensively with teams across the business and should demonstrate the ability to build strong internal relationships to support successful client outcomes. An Associate within the Client Solutions team should be results-driven and combine strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering an outstanding investor experience.

The individual is expected to contribute positively to the wider team environment through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support for junior team members where appropriate. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the servicing and ongoing development of relationships with a portfolio of Tier 1 and Tier 2 institutional clients and strategic regional JV partners across the DACH region, contributing to a high-quality investor experience in close collaboration with regional RMs and senior team members.
  • Support RMs in client coverage and business development activities across the DACH institutional market, contributing ideas and insights to support relationship development and prospecting initiatives.
  • Manage ad-hoc client requests and assist in the preparation and coordination of high-quality client and fundraising materials, including presentations, due diligence responses, portfolio updates, cash flow analyses, and performance data.
  • Produce high-quality materials for external consumption by taking a leading role in the collation and analysis of information produced by internal teams, delivering clear and effective written and verbal communication while seeking guidance from senior stakeholders where appropriate on more complex deliverables.
  • Support investor onboarding and closing processes, including due diligence activities and KYC/AML requirements.
  • Work closely with RMs and the RFP team on client proposals and support RFP and DDQ processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials to prospective and existing investors.
  • Maintain detailed records of investor activity and pipeline developments to support client relationship management and prospecting initiatives.
  • Build effective working relationships across investment, product specialist, legal, compliance, and operations teams to support coordinated client outcomes.
  • Manage competing priorities across existing client relationships and prospective investor activity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the Client Solutions function to enhance efficiency, consistency, and investor experience.
  • Contribute positively to the development of junior team members through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support within the team.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, internal Pantheon policies (including reporting compliance risks and maintaining appropriate standards of conduct), and professional standards.

Knowledge & Experience Required

Experience & Background

  • Relevant experience within private markets, institutional investor relations, fundraising, client solutions, asset management, or financial services
  • Good understanding of institutional investors and private markets products
  • Experience supporting institutional clients or client servicing activities, ideally within the DACH market
  • Fluency in German and English is essential
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams

Qualifications
