Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of QA, Pantheon requires an experienced Test Manager who will support the coordination and execution of testing activity across multiple internally developed systems and SaaS products, following the QA standards, processes, and tooling already established by the department. These solutions involve stakeholders from across the business, 3^rd party solution providers, and external suppliers. With such a widespread group of parties, often with competing demands on their time; planning and coordination of testing activity successfully requires the Test Manager to possess good communication, planning, and coordination skills.

The successful candidate will have solid experience coordinating testing in similarly complex environments, working closely with, and to the direction of, the Head of QA.

Required Experience

• This is an individual contributor role, reporting to and working under the direction of the Head of QA, with no formal line management responsibility.
• Experience overseeing the quality of deliverables from external partners, applying Pantheon's established QA standards to ensure strict adherence to project requirements.
• Ability to follow and maintain the defect management process, effectively tracking and coordinating the resolution of software defects to uphold the integrity of the final product.
• Sound analysis of test results, providing detailed reports to stakeholders to highlight potential risks and areas for improvement, facilitating informed decision-making.
• Experience in overseeing the execution of all testing phases, including unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing across complex end-to-end solutions that include multiple independent systems
• Proven track record in ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions through defined quality gates, maintaining project momentum, and meeting stakeholder expectations.
• Skill in identifying and flagging testing risks to the Head of QA and supporting proper configuration and maintenance of test environments and test tooling.
• Ability to work closely and coordinate with 3^rd parties and business users, utilizing good interpersonal skills to keep project stakeholders aligned and focused on project objectives.
• Application of the testing and tooling approach used at Pantheon, in line with existing standards, to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
• Strong documentation skills to ensure clarity and understanding of documented information, plans, and processes, facilitating seamless project execution.
• Responsibility for maintaining the acceptance testing closure document, capturing key highlights to support Go/No-go decision-making and project closure.
• Ability to foster collaboration across development teams, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to align testing activities with business needs.

 Essential skills:

• Proficiency in Azure DevOps to create streamlined testing processes.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, ensuring testing activities are aligned with project milestones and goals.
• Ability to adapt approaches and plans, to cater for 3rd party supplier working practices where necessary; while also possessing necessary influencing skills to encourage 3^rd parties to adopt more productive working practices.
• Solid experience as a Test Lead, or similar role, with a track record of successfully coordinating large-scale testing programs.
• Sound working knowledge of various testing techniques and methodologies, encompassing both functional (unit, integration, system, acceptance) and non-functional (security, performance, compatibility, etc.) aspects.
• Good understanding of test management processes, design techniques, and best practices, ensuring optimal efficiency and effectiveness in testing activities.
• Good coordination and people skills, with the ability to guide and support business users conducting testing, escalating key decisions to the Head of QA where required.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to relay detailed testing plans, procedures, and results to team members, stakeholders, and non-technical business users.
• Keen attention to detail, enabling the ability to scrutinize all aspects of the software to detect errors, bugs, and inconsistencies effectively.
• Strong teamwork abilities, collaborating effectively with other team members and maintaining open and constructive communication to achieve project objectives.
• Commitment to quality management, upholding high-quality standards throughout the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process to ensure the end solution meets user requirements and needs.
• Proficient analytical skills, allowing for the analysis of testing results and understanding their implications to inform decision-making processes effectively.
• Effective time management skills, ensuring the testing timeline is managed efficiently to maintain optimal efficiency without compromising on test coverage.

Desired Experience

The ideal candidate will have financial services experience in the private equity, infrastructure & real assets, or private debt space. However, this is not a stringent requirement.

Desired skills:

• Experience with Efront/DealCloud or similar solutions for investment management
• Designing and implementing test automation solutions across web and API technologies
• Azure DevOps, Specflow, Playwright, Postman, Restsharp, Databricks, Power BI
