Commercial Account Executive (Seattle)

Seattle, Washington, United States

The Job

AI-powered security operations is one of the fastest-growing segments in cybersecurity, and Panther is at the center of it. As a Commercial Account Executive, you'll be selling into that momentum: helping security teams replace legacy SIEMs with a modern, cloud-native AI SOC platform that's already winning.

Our reps consistently finish above quota on this territory, and the pipeline mechanics back it up. Deal registrations convert to closed-won at a strong rate, and POCs close at an even higher clip. Want the full picture on deal velocity, attainment, and territory ARR? Ask us in the recruiter screen; we're an open book.

In this role, you'll own a commercial territory covering the Pacific Northwest, Mountain region, Central, and Canada. You'll prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close net-new accounts while managing renewals and expansion in an existing customer base that's already primed to grow.

About Panther

Panther makes security teams smarter and faster than attackers.

We're building the AI SOC platform modern security teams need. Our Detection-as-Code approach, cloud-native architecture, and powerful security data lake help teams detect and respond to threats at scale — without the cost and overhead of legacy SIEM solutions.

Founded by security practitioners, we've raised $140M from Coatue, Lightspeed, ICONIQ Growth, Snowflake Ventures, and others. We're a global, remote-first company with a growing installed customer base — including a significant book of existing accounts eligible for renewals and expansion.

Our culture runs on three values: Create Customer Love, Be an Owner, and Take Care of the Team.

The Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close net-new commercial accounts through outbound and inbound motion
  • Manage renewals and upsell opportunities within your existing customer base
  • Build strong relationships with technically sophisticated buyers (security engineers, SOC leads, CISOs)
  • Contribute to sales process and asset development as an early commercial team member
  • Feed customer and prospect insights directly into the product roadmap
  • Be a strong team player and resource for colleagues across the org

The Requirements

  • 2+ years in a quota-carrying, closing role — consistently above target
  • Experience selling B2B SaaS, preferably in cybersecurity, cloud security, or adjacent technical infrastructure
  • Technical aptitude to engage confidently with security-focused buyers
  • Strong communicator and negotiator across stakeholders
  • Comfortable with a modern SaaS sales stack (CRM, Outreach, prospect research tools)
  • While this is predominantly a remote role, candidates should be within commuting distance of Seattle and able to travel for in-person events and co-working days.

We believe in transparency throughout our process — including how we approach AI.

We recognize that AI tools can enhance productivity and support high-quality work. Candidates are welcome to use AI tools for assistance when preparing application materials and completing take-home assignments. If AI use is not permitted for a specific assessment, we will indicate that clearly in the instructions. During live interviews, we ask that candidates not use AI tools to generate or supply real-time answers. This includes reading from AI-generated responses or prompts during conversational, behavioral, or technical discussions. These conversations are designed to understand your individual thinking process, problem-solving approach, and ability to communicate your ideas.

We also use AI tools to support our recruiting processes; hiring decisions are made by our team, not AI.

Reasonable Accommodations
We are committed to providing equal opportunity to all candidates. If you require the use of an AI-based tool or any other assistive technology as a reasonable accommodation for a disability or medical condition, please notify us prior to your interview. We will engage in an interactive process to determine what arrangements are appropriate for your situation. Accommodation requests are handled individually and in accordance with applicable law.

The Perks

  • Competitive equity in a well-established cybersecurity company
  • Unlimited PTO with a 15-day minimum, plus local federal holidays
  • Latest tech equipment and budget for your personalized setup
  • Comprehensive health and benefits coverage
  • Remote-first culture built for distributed teams

Cash compensation range: $180,000 to $220,000 OTE (50/50 pay split) USD Annually dependent on experience

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
