About the Role:

The Local Outreach & Business Development Representative is responsible for building Papa’s first dedicated referral channel for our direct-to-consumer (DTC) offering, starting in South Florida. This is a field role focused on developing referral partnerships with the organizations and professionals that influence senior decisions about in-home support: senior-specialized realtors and senior transitions specialists, physical therapy and rehab practices, faith-based organizations, aging-services NGOs and coalitions, primary care providers, independent living communities, local pharmacies, local senior-focused content creators and any other relevant referral partners this role brings to the table.

Time Allocation

  • 60% Field-Based Engagement: Conducting site visits, partner meetings, educational presentations, and representing the company at community events.
  • 30% Preparation and Follow-up: Documenting outreach via CRM, managing digital and written communications (calls, emails, mailings), and scheduling.
  • 10% Reporting and Strategy: Providing weekly insights to HQ, participating in internal syncs, and updating materials.

Being successful in this role requires comfort collaborating with seniors and senior-adjacent professionals, the ability to build trust quickly in a regulated environment, disciplined self-management, and a strong commitment to in-person engagement. The representative is also expected to continuously iterate on the local referral playbook based on field performance—recommending changes to materials, presentations, and segment prioritization over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Build and maintain a portfolio of referral partners across multiple segments, including healthcare providers, faith-based organizations, NGOs, senior living communities, realtors, and local pharmacies.
  • Territory Outreach: Conduct structured outreach and pre-arranged meetings across the assigned territory. Initiate contact to establish relationships, and follow up via phone, email, and mail to convert interest into active partnerships.
  • Community Presentations: Deliver educational presentations and represent Papa at senior ministry meetings, NGO coalition meetings, community events, and partner-hosted seminars (e.g., faith communities, Palm Beach Partnership for Aging, Pride Center events).
  • Educational Seminars: Facilitate informational sessions and provider-direct outreach at primary care and other healthcare practices.
  • Attribution Management: Distribute partner-specific promotional codes in the field to track conversions and ensure clean attribution per partner segment.
  • CRM Tracking: Maintain an accurate account list and partner pipeline within the CRM, documenting status, next steps, contact names, and follow-up commitments.
  • Funnel Analysis: Track referrals through the conversion funnel (lead $\rightarrow$ sign-up $\rightarrow$ activation $\rightarrow$ 30/60/90-day retention) by partner segment, and report on performance metrics.
  • Playbook Iteration: Continuously test and refine the local referral playbook based on market feedback. Regularly recommend adjustments to materials, pitches, and segment prioritization to HQ.
  • Collateral Customization: Tailor communication materials and messaging for distinct segments (realtors, healthcare, NGOs, etc.) and collaborate with HQ to refresh collateral as the strategy evolves.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understand and adhere to local municipal rules regarding community outreach (e.g., solicitation restrictions, flyer distribution rules) and utilize compliant engagement tactics.
  • Event Representation: Plan and represent Papa at local industry events, expos, and partner-hosted gatherings.
  • Feedback Loop: Deliver weekly performance insights to HQ, identifying successful strategies and recommending adjustments.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as the local face of Papa, maintaining professional, consistent, and mission-aligned representation in the market.

To qualify for this role you must have:

  • Market Knowledge: Reside in or within commutable distance to Broward and/or Palm Beach County. Familiarity with the local geography, neighborhoods, and senior-services community is strongly preferred.
  • Interpersonal Adaptability: Comfort interacting with seniors and senior-adjacent professionals; ability to establish trust and connect authentically with diverse groups.
  • Commitment to In-Person Engagement: Ability to effectively conduct frequent, face-to-face relationship building across the assigned territory.
  • Navigating Regulated Environments: Ability to accurately answer detailed questions regarding caregiver vetting, consistency, and Papa’s compliance standards.
  • Self-Discipline: Strong organizational and time-management skills to independently manage a daily calendar, outreach schedules, and CRM documentation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, or assistive-technology-supported communication skills. Ability to effectively deliver short educational presentations to small groups.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to utilize CRM tools to extract lists, summarize performance data, and identify market trends.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with office productivity software, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and GSuite.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus):

  • An existing network within the senior-services, real estate, or healthcare community in the target market.
  • Prior experience in field sales, community outreach, healthcare partnerships, senior services, or senior real estate.

Mobility & Travel Requirements

  • Territory Mobility: Ability to travel reliably and efficiently across the assigned territory on a daily basis to attend meetings and community events.
  • Extended Travel: Ability to travel occasionally for regional company meetings and professional development opportunities.

Location & Residency

  • Target Territory: Based in the South Florida metro area, specifically covering Broward and Palm Beach Counties.
  • Residency: Must reside within or in close proximity to the assigned territory to ensure efficient daily coverage and local community engagement.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Broward and Palm Beach County geography, local neighborhoods, and the regional senior-services community (or the ability to quickly develop it).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Classification: Non-exempt, hourly role.
  • Compensation: $30/hour plus uncapped quarterly commission tied to activated paying members.
  • Reimbursement: Approved mileage and parking expenses incurred during field work are reimbursed.
  • Benefits: * Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
    • HSA/FSA options
    • 401(k) plan with a company match up to 4%
    • Paid Time Off (PTO) & Sick Leave
    • Parental leave and caregiver leave

Physical and Mental Qualifications:

Mobility and Territory Navigation: Ability to reliably travel daily throughout the assigned geographic territory (Broward and Palm Beach Counties) to conduct site visits, facilitate drop-in meetings, and transport necessary marketing materials and collateral to events.

In-Person Stamina and Engagement: Ability to maintain a high level of physical and energetic presence during active field-based work (comprising 60% of the role), including standing, moving, or navigating various community venues, expos, and partner offices for extended periods.

Effective Multimodal Communication: Ability to clearly and persuasively articulate company values, deliver educational presentations, and address complex regulatory questions to diverse audiences—including healthcare providers, seniors, and community leaders—via verbal, written, or assistive-technology-supported communication methods.

High-Level Cognitive Function and Self-Discipline: Ability to independently plan, prioritize, and manage a fluid daily calendar with minimal direct supervision; must possess the mental agility to quickly pivot strategies based on field observations and analyze data trends within a CRM.

Emotional Intelligence and Relationship-Building: Strong psychological and interpersonal resilience required to handle cold outreach, build immediate trust in regulated environments, and maintain a consistent, patient, and professional demeanor when collaborating with seniors and senior-adjacent professionals.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
