Senior Implementation Project Manager

Summary:

As a Senior Implementation Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of implementation engagements through management of all aspects of the customer’s experience. In this role, you will work consultatively with enterprise level customers to set expectations, plan, communicate, guide the customer through the change management process, and negotiate project scope, timeline, and budget. It is the mission of the Senior Implementation Project Manager to support our enterprise and strategic customers in ensuring they have the right tools for long-term success with the Paperless Parts Platform.  

This is a full time position based in Boston, MA  and requires on-site presence, with a hybrid schedule as needed. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, and tailor as needed, all communications of status and progress across internal and customer teams to keep all relevant stakeholders appropriately informed and engaged. This includes preparing status reports, conducting meetings, and being the point of contact for any inquiries related to the project
  • Demonstrate proficient time management skills with a sense of urgency across all components of the project, including meeting time management, communications, project timelines, and holding resources accountable for timely completion of their deliverables, while balancing with budget and scope. 
  • Serve as program manager of large scale projects with multiple parallel projects, teams, and levels of communication
  • Demonstrate command of project scope and manage customer expectations through alignment at the start of the project, monitoring of scope throughout, and addressing scope creep directly with the customer
  • Assess project health and potential threats to the project’s success and implement risk management plans to minimize impact. 
  • Foster professional and positive relationships with internal teams and external customers, including executive level sponsors, by building rapport through transparency, follow-through, and awareness of all necessary stakeholders.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the product and Paperless Parts solutions/deliverables and facilitate customer process map discovery in order to advise a plan for optimizing the use of the product for a successful implementation and long term value
  • Able to evaluate pros and cons to create and effectively communicate customized plans for complex project rollouts consisting of multiple locations, stakeholders, and technologies
  • Ensure all project records and artifacts reflect customer goals, timeline, project scope, risks, and accurate progress and status.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, make recommendations to leadership and team, and implement changes across the team
  • As part of the Paperless Parts team, further, the company-wide DEI & social impact initiatives 
  • Travel to customers about 1-4 times per month

Requirements

  • 8+ years project management experience in customer-facing, problem-solving positions in fast-paced, high-tech companies; SaaS and SI preferred
  • Manufacturing Operations Management and/or large OEM experience a plus
  • Experience in manufacturing, manufacturing adjacent industries, or STEM roles related to supply chain, ops management, engineering or fabrication is highly beneficial.
  • Direct experience working with & communicating with manufacturing firms is a plus.
  • Relevant lean six sigma or manufacturing process improvement experience is a plus
  • Experience building training plans customized to enterprise-level implementations and conducting training to super users and end users.
  • Managing projects involving ERP systems and/or software integrations a plus.
  • Very organized and can think outside the box while being conscious of project timeline, scope, and budget
  • Effective communicator and listener both internally and with clients. Able to clearly explain concepts, status, plans, and issues, using established processes and tools, and adjust approach based on the audience. Able to build relationships with customer executive level sponsors to drive goals and success.
  • Able to build professional and amiable relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Demonstrates time management in day-to-day activities such as meetings, communications, as well as urgency and priority across longer-term initiatives and expectations
  • Fast learner, ability to learn new products and industries, and adapt to new processes and tools
