The Opportunity:

The Sr. Technical Implementation Specialist (TIS) is responsible for owning, designing, and delivering high-complexity configuration solutions using P3L, our proprietary Python-based pricing language, while leading the deployment of standard ERP integrations. This role blends deep technical and manufacturing expertise with structured process discovery, change management, and clear definition of customer goals to ensure solutions are aligned to measurable business outcomes.

By leveraging these inputs, the Sr. TIS designs and executes the appropriate configuration, integration, training, and testing strategies required to enable customer success and guide organizations effectively through operational change. The Sr. TIS is expected to develop subject matter expertise in contract manufacturing quoting and estimating with a specific focus on CNC Machining and Sheet Metal. 

Beyond solution delivery, the Sr. TIS leads internal process improvement, serves as a key escalation point, and mentors team members. This role requires strong technical mastery, the ability to navigate complex stakeholder conversations, and a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while driving long-term customer value.

Who you are:

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in manufacturing consulting or related technical roles and is motivated by solving highly complex technical challenges while elevating others through coaching and mentorship. You operate as both a technical leader and a trusted advisor, working cross-functionally to define best practices, guide decision-making, and drive the adoption of new technologies and platform capabilities.

With a strong understanding of manufacturing, you build credibility quickly and take a consultative approach to partnering with customers, helping define their goals, navigate process change, and implement solutions that maximize the value of the Paperless Parts platform.

 Responsibilities of a Senior TIS:

  • Lead process discovery, customer goal definition, and change management sessions to design and deliver configurations, integrations, training, and testing strategies that drive successful adoption
  • Architect and deploy complex configuration solutions across standard and custom integrations, serving as a technical subject matter expert for the team
  • Partner consultatively with customers to define and optimize quoting workflows, leveraging deep knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and manufacturing best practices
  • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in P3L and Python, building scalable, maintainable, and productized solutions through structured problem-solving
  • Integrate and analyze complex customer data (e.g., Excel, APIs) to support advanced workflows and ensure data integrity across systems
  • Lead complex implementations by proactively identifying and mitigating risks, partnering with Implementation Project Managers (IPMs) to align timelines with realistic effort and customer needs
  • Act as a primary escalation point for at-risk projects and complex customer scenarios, providing decisive technical and consultative guidance
  • Champion continuous improvement by establishing and evolving configuration standards, delivery processes, and documentation to increase speed, quality, and consistency
  • Mentor and coach team members while influencing cross-functional stakeholders, elevating both technical execution and consultative engagement across the organization

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in manufacturing consulting, technical implementation, solutions engineering, or equivalent customer-facing development role
  • Proven track record of leading customer-facing discovery sessions to define business and technical requirements
  • Proven expert-level proficiency in a computational environment or programming language. (Python preferred, other languages or Excel considered) 
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex technical projects and adhering to aggressive time-to-value metrics
  • Exceptional ability to clearly explain complex/custom configurations and benefits to all customer personas (technical and non-technical)
  • Proven track record of defining or enhancing team processes or best practices
  • Willingness to travel when necessary to customer facilities (average is about 25-30% of the time)

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
