The Associate Underwriter will work Fully Remote.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for essential services and direct support to a Film & TV Underwriter, including broker interaction.
- Responsible for supporting underwriting through a variety of functions that include new business and renewal policy setup, account coordination, data collection, and information follow-up.
- Reviews information in insurance applications to help make initial determinations on risk acceptability.
- Communicate with appointed brokers to obtain needed and required underwriting information.
- Develops information required for carrier and regulatory compliance from application and other source documents.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Assist with policy and endorsement issuance and cast clearance
- Inputs account information into MGA management system
- Providing clients with a service that supports the positive image of the company.
- Invoices the premium for the policies, declarations, and endorsements
- Rates various policies such as the worker’s compensation
- Underwrites cast medical information and interacts with the Reel Media consulting physician
- Interacts with Arch loss control to have stunts and pyrotechnics cleared
- Gathers information and updates required monthly reports
- Sends monthly production reports to our business partners as required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required, bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Holds valid insurance producer license or must obtain within 3-months of onboarding
- 1 - 5 years of underwriting or policy administration experience, Film & Television preferred
- Functional knowledge to include commercial insurance lines of business.
- Self-starter who is organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively as needed
- Demonstrates ability to build and maintain strong broker relationships
- Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
- Good knowledge Microsoft Office applications and experience of relevant business applications and systems
- No travel is required
The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
