Junior Developer

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Senior Developer

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Parallax is looking to add a developer to our team.  This position will use industry leading best practices to develop systems, tools and analysis capabilities to drive future profits.  

Specific Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Work with software engineers and downstream consumers to enhance existing infrastructure and develop new functionality to support all aspects of the enterprise including:

• N-tier application development in C#
• Front-end design and implementation primarily in WinForms
• Development and tuning of queries in SQL and time series databases
• Data processing, manipulation, and analysis in a scripting language

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant field of study
• 2+ years development experience
• Experience building and supporting large-scale, multi-tier applications
• Must be a U.S citizen or authorized to work in the U.S on a permanent basis

TECHNICAL ABILITIES/PROGRAMS:

• Microsoft .NET Framework
• Python
• C# proficiency
• UI development
• Agile development
• Continuous integration

 SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Strong aptitude for software development
• Must be highly organized and have strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to be resourceful and work effectively as a team player
• Demonstrated commitment to accuracy, quality, innovation and continuous improvement
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
