Production Manager at Parallel oversees production and packaging operations. They report to the Director of Production to ensure all production needs are met. They provide leadership and guidance to all teams, manage employee relations, production reporting, scheduling effectiveness/efficiencies, facilitate lean initiatives, and the acquisitions of new staff.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Manages production operations by implementing, adjusting, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Responsible for enforcing Operational Compliance in all aspects of producing and packaging all products.
- Manages all manufacturing, packaging and quality standards.
- Directs teams on executing day to day operations and facilitates production schedule planning.
- Responsible for supporting employee relations, recruitment and on-boarding for the department.
- Works directly with training teams to initiate and evolve an engaging, holistic training program directed at enhancing employee skills and nature; helps to mature individuals and culture, to instill the necessary qualities for future leadership.
- Mastery and management of seed to sale tracking programs.
- Maintains departmental goals and KPIs for, Quality, Productivity, Inventory accuracy, Utilization. Analyzes and measures progress toward goals; effectively communicates progress to all levels of employees.
- Delivers accurate and timely management reporting products (historical results, forecasts, budgets) on an ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Reports to the Director of Operations and leads the production supervisors and hourly associates within manufacturing and production.
- Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU’LL BRING
- 5+ years’ Management experience in high-volume food manufacturing facility and/or production or manufacturing facility
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain-management, manufacturing or equivalent professional work experience.
- Food Manager Certification (Serv Safe)
- HAACP Certification
- Experience handling solvents
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook (Excel, Teams, OneNote, etc.), Google Drive and inventory management systems
- Manage a controlled workflow in a fast-paced environment
- Works well under pressure
- Self-motivated and can take initiative and directions well
- Works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity
- Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement a Plus
- Ability to work as a team leader, be organized and have extreme attention to detail
- Proven success of process improvement techniques
- Age 21 or over (Required)
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Valid Government-Issued Photo ID (Required)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Manufacturing and Packaging environment.
- Requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, and consistent attention to detail for 10+ hours per day.
- Must be able to bend, lift and stoop continuously.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. unassisted and up to 80 lbs. assisted.
- General Environmental Exposure: Work environment can/may include exposure to allergens (i.e. cannabis, pollen, dander), plant pathogens dirt, fertilizers, dusts, odors, fumes, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, noise, vibrations, water, dry salts, volatile organic compounds, heights, and varying air conditioning conditions (indoor A/C, no A/C).
