What You’ll Do
Provide clinical services oversight
- Provider mentorship, coaching, and clinical support to assigned portfolio of providers; including individual case consultation, developing and sharing resources, and providing corrective feedback if needed
- Collaborate with the Customer Success team and work closely with school district administrators and providers to drive clinical quality excellence within an assigned portfolio of school accounts
- Bridge school and internal Parallel teams to implement SLP services
- Oversee providers within the portfolio of assigned accounts including clinical quality assurance and maintaining provider adherence to Parallel and school policies
- Collaborate and support other cross functional teams (operations, finance, product, sales, customer success) with day to day needs; including billing for services, scheduling, caseload management
- Work closely with school district administrators, service providers, and Parallel Teams to resolve potential concerns and to ensure students receive the services they need in accordance with special education procedures
- Address and resolve school and provider escalations
Support Parallel’s overall operations and strategies as a clinical expert, on an as needed basis, which could include:
- Inform operational policy and procedures related to utilization, time tracking, project management from the perspective of a subject matter expert
- Orient and train new service providers on Parallel processes and procedures
- Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Success Teams to inform clinical services and implementation of services
- Inform and develop Parallel’s platform and other technology solutions to improve our services and service delivery
Provide Direct Client Services part-time 10-20% of your time, depending on the need and your assignment, which could include the following responsibilities:
- Provide direct SLP services to children
- Conduct SLP evaluations as needed
- Collaborate with the school team to create treatment plans or Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for students, including identifying specific SLP related goals
- Complete required documentation and data collection necessary for IEP reports, goals, and evaluations
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing supervision and work collaboratively to ensure students' needs are met (as needed to provide time-sensitive coverage)
What You’ll Need
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- A state Speech and Language Pathology license, ASHA CCCs
- Previous experience practicing virtually and in a school-based environment
- Strong clinical skills and experience (5+ years) to act as a resource for problem solving and supporting school-based clinicians
- 5+ years of IEP directed therapy and evaluation experience in a school setting; specific experience as a special education teacher and/or administrator is an additional benefit
- Experience participating in eligibility/IEP meetings, acting as a case manager, and completing educational eligibility determinations and reports
- Excellent communication skills and self-awareness to communicate with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences; including children, families, and school partners
- Digital experience with conducting tele-health services on virtual meeting platforms
- A private workspace with a secure and reliable internet connection
- Interest and a desire for growth in non-clinical skillset such as process management, people management and business administration
- The ability to learn quickly and multi-task effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Stellar organization and time management skills
- Prior experience in a people management, operational, business, or administrative role
- Prior experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising other clinicians
- Proven track record building and/or improving processes and workflows for providers
- Experience in other start-ups / virtual care company a plus but not required
