Summary of Position: 

The Director of Trade and Patient Services will play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing Paratek Pharmaceuticals’ trade and patient support strategy. This individual will be responsible for overseeing HUB services to ensure they effectively meet the needs of patients and healthcare providers while driving key performance metrics aligned with commercial goals.

Serving as the primary point of contact for Paratek’s pharmacy network, the Director will manage key relationships, lead contracting efforts, resolve operational issues, and conduct quarterly business reviews to ensure partner performance and alignment with organizational objectives.

Additionally, the Director will be accountable for monitoring all patient support services – evaluating their utilization and impact on market access and affordability. This role will proactively identify opportunities for enhancement and lead the development of new services or process improvements that support optimal patient access, provider satisfaction, and sustain commercial success.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of the Trade and Patient Services strategy to drive patient access and commercial performance
  • Negotiate and manage contractual agreements with specialty pharmacies and HUB providers.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with pharmacy partners; lead quarterly business reviews to maintain alignment and drive continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Operations and Finance to oversee HUB services and maintain adherence to budgetary guidelines
  • Develop and implement SOPs for HUB and pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance and consistent execution
  • Oversee the execution of HUB, reimbursement support, and copay assistance programs to ensure seamless patient access and provider engagement
  • Develop sales-force training materials related to Trade and Patient Services strategies and programs
  • Address field questions and collaborate with Sales to explore and resolve Trade – and HUB-related  concerns
  • Align patient services initiatives with brand strategies to optimize  program impact and commercial outcomes
  • Oversee the Trade promotional budget, ensuring efficient spending, tracking,  and alignment with strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop, implement and analyze Trade initiatives that support  brand awareness and customer engagement Ensure data integrity and adequate data exchange between Paratek and  its distribution vendors and partners; partner with Business Analytics to develop and disseminate  key performance metrics and reporting for senior leadership and field teams.

 Candidate Requirements:

  • BA/BS required, MBA/MS preferred, or comparable experience
  • Minimum of 10years of experience in the  pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • At least 5 years of direct  working with wholesale/specialty distributors and pharmacy networks, with a  strong understanding of operational functions and compliance requirements
  • Experience with multiple product types including IV, oral, hospital - administered, Buy-and-Bill, and Medicare Part D
  • Proven experience in  Trade processes and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance Strong collaboration experience with field sales teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Demonstrated  leadership and management capabilities;  previous people management experience preferred (role may include 1-2 direct reports)
  • High level of business acumen, analytical strength, and  the ability to communicate insights to stakeholders 
  • Demonstrated ability to  influence without authority in a matrixed environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with evolving priorities and incomplete information

 Additional Information:

  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with trade and distribution reporting and analytical tools
  • Travel: This position is based in the Paratek King of Prussia office and requires  ~40% travel to  meet with trade partners, vendors, attend internal meetings,  and represent the company at relevant conventions and events
