 Position Information

The Specialty Sales Representative is responsible for owning and growing a complex, multi-product specialty business within an assigned territory, to include NUZYRA® and XHANCE®. Through strategic engagement with healthcare professionals, representatives will educate Podiatrists, ENTs, Allergists, Primary Care Physicians (PCPs), Dermatologists and other healthcare professionals who care for appropriate patients. The representative drives appropriate product adoption and utilization while effectively balancing portfolio priorities and customer opportunities. Leveraging strong clinical and business acumen, data and insights, strategic territory planning, and consultative selling skills, the representative builds trusted customer relationships, identifies opportunities to improve patient outcomes, and executes differentiated strategies that drive commercial success.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the territory as a business, demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset by proactively identifying opportunities, solving challenges, and developing and executing strategies that integrate portfolio priorities, sales performance, customer segmentation, market dynamics, access considerations, competitive intelligence, and customer insights to drive sustainable growth and maximize territory performance.
  • Drive appropriate adoption and utilization of Paratek’s multi-product portfolio by executing differentiated product and customer strategies and effectively prioritizing customers and resources.
  • Build and advance strategic customer relationships with targeted prescribers and other healthcare stakeholders through purposeful engagement, clinically relevant discussions, educational programs, and other company-approved activities.
  • Execute complex, consultative selling by uncovering customer needs, effectively communicating clinical and product information, addressing barriers to adoption, and delivering approved promotional messaging.
  • Develop and execute pull-through strategies that support appropriate patient access, product adoption, and utilization within the territory.
  • Use data, analytics, customer insights, and business intelligence to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, prioritize activity, and continuously adapt territory and portfolio strategies.
  • Maintain strong clinical, product, disease-state, treatment pathway, and competitive knowledge and effectively apply that knowledge across a multi-product selling environment.
  • Execute company commercial strategies and meet established sales, call-plan, and performance expectations, contributing to territory, regional, and organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Regional Business Director, regional colleagues, and appropriate cross-functional partners to support territory execution and achievement of regional and organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong operational discipline, professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment by effectively and ethically utilizing company systems and resources; maintaining timely and accurate CRM documentation; completing required expense, mileage, sample accountability, training, and other administrative responsibilities; participating in required company meetings and field activities; and adhering to Paratek policies, procedures, the Code of Conduct, PDMA requirements, and applicable industry regulatory standards.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of sales experience involving complex, consultative selling and territory management, required; Life Sciences sales experience, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other healthcare sales, preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn complex clinical or technical information and translate it into relevant, compelling customer conversations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple products, customer segments, and competing business priorities within an assigned territory
  • Strong business ownership and accountability, with the ability to independently plan, prioritize, and execute against territory objectives
  • Ability to use data, analytics, and customer insights to inform territory strategy and business decisions
  • Growth mindset with an openness to feedback and a commitment to continuously strengthening capabilities and performance
  • Strong presentation, communication, organizational, and administrative skills, required
  • Experience effectively utilizing CRM systems to support customer engagement and territory management, required
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment and adapts effectively to changing business priorities
  • Sound judgment and unwavering commitment to compliance and ethical business practices
  • Ability to meet requirements for ongoing customer credentialing
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record, required

 

Additional Information

  • Ability to travel as required, including occasional overnight travel; approximately 10-15% outside the assigned geography.
