About You

At Protagonist, marketing plays a critical role in how we engage with clients across enterprise and government sectors. As we continue to scale our marketing strategies, we’re looking for a high-potential Marketing Intern to support the creation of strategic content, marketing materials, and communication assets.

This internship is designed for someone who wants to apply classroom knowledge to real-world strategy and contribute to programs that are already in motion. You’ll work alongside senior leadership and gain insight into high-impact marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and develop core marketing materials, including one-pagers, pitch decks, case studies, and client communications.
  • Assist in writing and editing content for email marketing, thought leadership, social media, and other external facing messaging media.
  • Help organize and maintain a content calendar aligned to strategic campaigns and sales needs.
  • Collaborate on the creation of visual assets and work alongside graphic designers or agency partners as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of campaign messaging frameworks and communication briefs.
  • Support the packaging of content for key accounts and government stakeholders as part of business development initiatives.
  • Participate in planning and brainstorming sessions for marketing campaigns and content series.
  • Help refine and maintain brand tone, language, and positioning across touchpoints.

Work Experience and Skills

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related fields.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and persuasive messaging.
  • Organized and process-oriented; able to manage drafts, revisions, and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office tools.
  • Exposure to content marketing, brand messaging, or communications planning through coursework or prior experience.
  • Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) or content scheduling platforms.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with an interest in B2B, B2G, or public-sector marketing.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to support US Government contracts that may be restricted to US Persons.

Additional Information

Pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour and expected duration is 4 months.
