Senior Program Manager

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States

We’re in this for the greater good at ParetoHealth. Our mission is collective greatness, nothing less will do. Our team is a single force united in the drive to transform employee health benefits.

The company was founded in 2011 to help small and medium-sized businesses fight the rising cost of employee health benefits. We blazed the trail with financing innovations that reduce the risks in self-insurance and deliver significant savings—and we continue to lead with a growing ecosystem of partners and world-class cost control solutions.

But success is measured by more than dollars alone and we measure ours by the good that comes from knowing that every client and all their employees can count on effective, affordable healthcare for years to come.

Please note that ParetoHealth does not provide employment visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship both now or in the future.

Position Summary:

As Pareto continues to scale rapidly, our work is becoming increasingly cross-functional and complex. We are seeking support to further grow our program management capabilities. In this role, you will lead and collaborate closely with executives and subject matter experts to deliver programs that drive key business priorities and outcomes, such as cost containment initiatives or expanding into new market segments.

As a (Senior) Program Manager, you will provide both strategic and hands-on program management support, ensuring teams stay focused and aligned to achieve on-time, high-quality execution of complex programs. This role is crucial in unlocking Pareto’s next phase of growth as we expand our healthcare platform, and you will report directly to the Head of Program Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to build and maintain complex and strategic programs that drive business priorities and outcomes from ideation through implementation.
  • Use program and project management best practices and hands-on leadership to scope, initiate, manage, and implement programs and related initiatives on time, within budget, and deliver against desired program outcomes.
  • Build strong peer and stakeholder relationships and maintain effective communication channels, including presentations to leadership.
  • Exceptional communications across all levels of the organization to keep teams informed of program plans, milestones, deliverables, and status updates.
  • Perform analytics around the cost and impact of programs across multiple dimensions, providing recommendations that consider the needs of stakeholders, drive alignment, facilitate decision-making, and guide prioritization and focused execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or other advanced degree.
  • 3+ or 6+ years of experience in program/project management for complex, cross functional projects and initiatives, preferably within the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of leadership in developing new processes and delivering business value by developing, implementing, managing, and scaling programs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Effective communicator and listener with sharp business acumen to advise and strategically influence leadership team and stakeholders.
  • Not required, but salesforce and operational experience are a plus.

Desired Outcomes:

  • Successful management and delivery of complex, cross-functional projects, often which include external parties to the business (examples include SLC integrations and the 2025 Playbook).
  • Build out program management toolkit for the organization.
