What You’ll Do:

The Title Examiner assists in efficiently processing Title Insurance transactions while ensuring accuracy and timely service to the Parkway Title escrow branch office.

This is a remote position in Texas. 

 

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure accuracy of the title information used in the preparation of the commitment by creating accurate Base files, performing and examining title searches promptly, preparing and distributing commitments as needed, typing and reviewing title policies, and assisting in the effective resolution of any title issues.
  • Perform and examine online title searches to Prepare Title Commitments.
  • Review buyer deeds, mortgage documents, etc., for accuracy and recordability, and submit electronically for recording in the property's jurisdiction.
  • Issue the requested policies of title insurance in compliance with closing instruction and ensure the accuracy of the information placed in the title policy(ies).
  • Calculate Title Insurance Premiums for the Owners and/or Lenders Title Policies.
  • Ensure prescribed turnaround times are met by reporting; sending out title documents and policies within the required timeframes; consistently meeting established productivity requirements.
  • Maintain the highest level of Customer Service by knowledgeably responding to questions from the Escrow staff, Closing Attorney, Accounting Department, Title Insurance underwriter, etc.
  • Maintain positive and enduring relationships with the Closing Team and internal and external customers.
  • Summarize research findings to assist with the closing process.
  • Examine and analyze mortgages, liens, judgments, plat books, maps, agreements, contracts, easements, and surveys.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Your Education and Experience:

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of Texas title examination experience, builder environment & multi-state is a plus.
  • Proven knowledge of title policies or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Thorough understanding of the use of technology, Integrity/Courthouse Direct Title plant & SoftPro experience preferred.
