THE POSITION

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in advancing our accounting close processes, driving efficiency improvements, and supporting our overall growth. Your responsibilities will include enhancing internal control procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient operations, and fostering clear and professional communication with team members, internal stakeholders, external customers, and vendors. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact on our team’s success. 

**While this position is listed as being in Seattle, we are open to a hybrid schedule. We expect this hire to be onsite at least 2 days per week**

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Process accounts payable transactions entered into NetSuite, updating vendor information as necessary
  • Complete 2-way match, review and assign appropriate department and GL codes for purchased goods and services
  • Progress approval workflow for purchase order and vendor payments for payment via check, ACH and Wire through Bill.com
  • Process and administer virtual cards and budgets in Brex and Bill.com
  • Assist with travel booking transactions via Navan travel management solution
  • Assist with tax reporting and registration, audit preparations, selections, and requests
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist in the month-end close process
  • Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks such as month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and audit support
  • Enter, post, and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer and vendor issues, prepare aging report, post invoicing and conduct collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L

FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR

  • Minimum of an associate degree in accounting
  • 2+ years of experience in similar accounting
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with NetSuite or similar ERP
  • Professional experience using Bill.com, Brex, or similar online bill paying tool and credit card management tools
  • Experience with Navan travel management solution (or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle a varied workload independently
  • A team-first mentality, demonstrating a collaborative approach to achieving shared goals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, external customers, and vendors 

JOB CONDITIONS

  • This is a hybrid position with the expectation to be in-office 2 days per week
  • The office environment is open concept where you will have an assigned sit-stand desk
  • Extensive computer and related accessories will be used most of the time

Market Pay Range - Exact compensation will be dependent on skills, education and experience relevant to the position

$60,000 - $75,000 USD
