About you and the role

You are a strong Software Engineer who is never satisfied with simply meeting the requirements. You are always curious, digging deeper into your code and solutions, and constantly learning, while openly communicating, coaching, and mentoring your team to deliver excellent solutions. You are eager to take on new technology challenges and actively seek out the latest tools and techniques. You do all of this with passion that makes not just your work outstanding, but elevates all the people around you.

What you’ll do

• Develop/maintain/extend PartnerStack’s Vue.JS frontend and Python backend software systems, maybe some Terraform for good measure
• Lead technical projects and be the go-to resource for the team
• Act as the primary subject matter expert for questions from both within and outside of the Engineering group
• Contribute to the team’s delivery processes - we ship multiple times per day
• Exemplify engineering expertise in crafting stable, maintainable, high-performing systems
• Partner with leadership in Design and Product Management to drive constant improvements to overall product strategy
• Actively reach out and collaborate with other teams share knowledge, investigate new technology and keep constant momentum
• Mentor, sponsor, and encourage coworkers

Our tech stack is Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (k8s), PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, Redis, Python, Vue.js, Cloudflare
Our tools are Cursor, Linear, Incident.io, Datadog, Sentry, PGAnalyze

You're a great candidate if...

• 8+ years of experience demonstrating technical leadership, including mentoring and coaching software developers
• Experience building AI products and features from scratch
• Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication
• Experience with architecture, testability, and refactoring complex systems

Compensation Range

Range: $170,000-$210,000 CAD

We are open to applications from candidates whose salary expectations fall outside of the stated range, provided the role aligns with your career goals and experience. We will further discuss compensation expectations if you are invited for a first-round interview.
