Program Training Manager 

Full-Time, Exempt | Compensation $55,000 – $70,000 (DOE) 

At Pathways for Life, effective training is essential to delivering high-quality, person-centered services. We’re looking for a strategic and engaging Program Training Manager to build and own a standardized, scalable training program that strengthens employee competency, operational consistency, and ongoing compliance across the organization. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Evaluate current program training requirements, curriculum, materials, and delivery practices to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. 
  • Develop and maintain standardized training curriculum, presentations, job aids, competency tools, and other resources for program staff. 
  • Identify organization-wide and program-specific training needs using audits, program observations, incidents, performance trends, employee feedback, regulatory changes, and other quality indicators. 
  • Establish consistent standards for new hire, ongoing, refresher, remedial, and role-specific program training. 
  • Manage and oversee CEU completion and establish caregiver in-field support mechanisms. 
  • Lead and support Training Specialist(s), including onboarding, coaching, performance management, and ensuring high-quality training delivery. 
  • Partner with Programs, Compliance/Quality, Human Resources, and leadership to ensure training aligns with policies, procedures, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. 
  • Facilitate or oversee in-person and virtual training and provide centralized training support to locations based on organizational needs. 
  • Monitor training completion, competency validation, certification requirements, retraining needs, and overall training effectiveness. 
  • Coach managers and supervisors on reinforcing training expectations in daily operations and support retraining when education is identified as part of corrective action or performance improvement. 
  • Monitor applicable DDD and other regulatory training requirements and recommend updates to organizational training practices as requirements change. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training and Development, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, Organizational Development, or a related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in training, program operations, onboarding, staff development, IDD services, healthcare, or human services required. 
  • Experience working with DDD, ALTCS, HCBS, or similar regulated service environments strongly preferred. 
  • Experience developing training curriculum, presentations, job aids, competency tools, and other educational resources required. 
  • Experience facilitating group training for adult learners in both in-person and virtual environments required. 
  • Must be, or be willing and able to become, a DDD Certified Trainer for applicable required programs, including Article 9, First Aid/CPR, Positive Behavior Support, Abuse & Neglect, and PROUD. 
  • Strong understanding of regulated documentation, compliance requirements, and quality expectations within healthcare, IDD, or human services environments preferred. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage frontline employees, supervisors, managers, and organizational leadership. 
  • Professional, confident, organized, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle for organization-wide travel. 

Schedule & Work Environment 

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Flexible); some evenings and weekends may be required. 
  • Performance-driven role balancing strategic training program development with direct facilitation and operational support. 
  • Frequent in-person and virtual training with varying group sizes and employee roles. 
  • Periodic travel between organizational locations and attendance at external meetings, audits, surveys, or regulatory activities. 
  • Ability to lift and carry approximately 15-20 pounds of training materials, laptops, and other training equipment.
